Well..it was sort of difficult, but it was doable. Hoping for an A/B but you just can't tell till the grade boundaries are released..which is when - anyone know? What are you hoping for? x
thanks

Personally I thought it was very different but saying that, the grade boundaries may end up being really low, so fingers crossed(Original post by wibletg)

Hmm, yeah definitely agree. Some of the wordings of the questions were very different as well. I think that recently AQA Chemistry may have got a new examiner x -

Re: AQA CHEM2 ~ May 23rd 2012 ~ AS ChemistryI don't know, it's hard to predict these things. Nothing lower that 75% though as I remember adding up the marks I knew were right in the exam. Hoping for an A/B(Original post by cuckoo99)

Re: AQA CHEM2 ~ May 23rd 2012 ~ AS Chemistry
I don't see how it was that different.
1 question or so, such as adding arrows to the mechanism instead of drawing.
But other than that it was fairly average... so don't expect the grade boundaries to be that low.
Someone (make that 4 people) clearly had their hopes set on low boundaries since they did badly
Throw that neg around even more kids... next time i'll just lie to you and say its going to be 50% for an A

Re: AQA CHEM2 ~ May 23rd 2012 ~ AS ChemistryWelldone for you, but everyone at my college found it quite hard. Yes EVERYONE..so I don't know we'll just have to wait till August, good luck I'm sure if you found it alright you probably got an A seeing as others found it harder :P x(Original post by Mocking_bird)

Re: AQA CHEM2 ~ May 23rd 2012 ~ AS ChemistryAre you making a chem4 thread soon I know its incredibly early but I think it might be helpful if we talk about this unit through out as its supposed to be the most challenging(Original post by Sorro10)

Re: AQA CHEM2 ~ May 23rd 2012 ~ AS ChemistryMocking_bird are you trolling? Or are you an actual egotistical, narcissistic turd?(Original post by Mocking_bird)
Take it on the chin.
& reply to the boundaries I do think they will be lower not the lowest it's ever been but yes lower.
72-75 for an A
67-69 for a B -

Pretty sure you were a bit of a **** in CHEM1.
Hardly my fault there were people honestly thinking it was going to be 60% for an A.
& I don't think they will be lower. I think they'll be average.
People always panic and scream about it being "the hardest paper ever@@@@@@@@@", when it really wasnt, its just the post-exam nerves talking. For example, biol1 in january, people thought it was insanely hard yet the boundaries were alot higher than usual.
