    I don't get it
Im trying to find out what unis look at wether it is gcse's or A levels or both
My friend said gcse's dont matter as long as you pass and get into A level. Another person said GCSE's are important cause if you dont do well in them then you wont do well in A levels but not necessarily. And i know that it really does depend on the uni to, but which is more important.

A-levels will of course be more important but a lot of courses do require a good set of GCSEs. If your GCSEs are not so good but your A-levels are, you still have a good shot at a wide range of courses though.

I would say that A-levels are more important as this shows a higher level of knowledge in your subjects and your A-level grades that are the ones included in your offer for university.

However, GCSEs are very important and most unis want a grade C at English Language and Maths, and sometimes a language and/or Science. And of course, unis will look at your GCSE grades and may take them into account - some will do this more, and others won't care as much, it depends on the uni. but remember your GCSEs are still important
