So yes, it would make sense if he did not celebrate his own birthday. He fought in many wars to allow democracy, and he was one of the main Prophets to introduce this religion to us.

But we celebrate his bday, not cos he’s getting older, so it would make sense he if didn’t celebrate his bday. But we celebrate it, because he was the main one who introduced Islam, and fought for our religion enabling us to practice it. I’m sure there’s nothing wrong with appreciating the work he has done for mankind

But there is already a set way to read the namaz. So yes it would be wrong.
However, it was also said that anything that if something is not mentioned in the Quran, is upto the individual to make that decision of whether to do it or not.

Traditional scholars even agree with it. However only if it is done lawfully, no intermingling of the sexes, no excessive wasteful spending.

So even reading some Quran, or attending your mosque to listen to some talks to increase your knowledge on Islam will do in a Milad.

The earliest and three centuries of Islam passed and there was no celebration of the birthday of the Prophet (SA) during these times . its said that the first to come out with this celebration the rulers of Egypt from Al-`Ubaydiyyun, who were Shiites, as reported by a group of historians. They introduced it during the fourth century after Hijrah. even though it is a good thing to do its still innovation and innovation is forbidden in islam. we can learn the sunnah of the prophet in normal studey circles and mosque it shouldnt be on the day he was born.

in regards to naath, as long as they do not do so much praise of the prophet that they put him equal to Allah, nauzubillah.. its is fine and it does not include music which is forbidden naat are ok. basically it means that if we ahve one allah , one prophet one quran , one kaba then why is it so hard that we are not one

Well he did sound like a crazy guy but idk. I don't know Punjabi so that's all i can communictate in..that and English. My grandfather was taught in India and so were my parents. My family is from India but we have some distant relatives whose family moved from Pakistan. India has got lots of languages too but our main language is Hindi.
