So I passed the interview today. Now need to cancel my volunteering for the Olympics...
That's great news, congratulations! I just applied and my interview is for next Wednesday, I'm really nervous because in the email it said something about a smelling test?! What happened on your assessment??:cool:

I will be attending a test too.

Can anyone explain all the sensory test (hearing test, sight test and smell) test in more detail?

How can you tell the difference between lemon and mint and water in the smell tests?

What will I be required to hear in the hearing test?

I am deaf and am worried about the hearing test more than the others.

Please offer any hints or advice.

    Thank you very much.

Ooh, I applied to this just recently. Though, it might clash with my volunteering with the Olympics, so if I did get this job I'd have to decide which one to do (most probably the paid one tbh ).

I know the guy running the whole security operation. He's retiring straight after paralympics. It's the most secure olympics in history. Multiple military fighter jets on standby for it all. They have military boats of standby. Will be quite an experience for you whatever happens. Best of luck

Hi guys, I've got a security job in Newcastle for the football at St. James' Park, and my training course is in May.

Does anyone know if there is any sort of pay for doing the training course?

Depends what you are doing exactly, do you mean your Door Supervisor License (SIA) or on the job training?

The Security is based around Licensed and Steward Positions made up of volunteers and paid persons.

If you want to know more Im a Venue Security Manager for one of the locations and been in the Event Security Game for about 7 yrs now.

    Thanks.

I realised I got mixed up between pre games training and SIA license training.
