    Hey!
Yes I just got my invitation through on Monday, got my interview on 15th February too! At 12.00....so excited/nervous! Just glad to have an invitation to interview and not a 'rejection'!!
I've been worried cause I couldn't find anyone who had applied and thought maybe they weren't running the course or something!

Help! I've got an interview on 29th at Cumbria. How did yours go? Have you heard yet. I'm really nervous about the English test. In fact all of it. Could you give me an any ideas or help on what happened on the day. When I rang to ask why I had not received an interview date they said they were interviewing the worst one's last!

I got accepted 2 days after my interview date.

The format of my day was:

    - Arrive in lecture hall
    - 15 minute chat from someone in the student union
    - 30 minute chat from one of the Primary Ed teachers. If you've been to one of the open days it's basically the same talk again that you'll have already seen.
    - You then do a 20 minute literacy "test". The question you have to answer is something like "based on your background, past experience, etc why do you think you will be a good teacher?" so it's a bit like writing personal statement again. It also says they're looking at your spelling, grammar, handwriting as much as the actual content.
    - We then got split off into groups of six and a member of staff took us to our own room.
    - The group task for us was simply to discuss the article the Uni had emailed us when telling us when the interview was. You're allowed to bring notes with you on it so I suggest you make some because it helps to refer to them. He just watched and listened as we talked about it.
    - Then we each had to say something about what we'd seen in a classroom when we'd been out to a school for experience.
    - Then finally he took us to one of the campus cafes and then called us in for the one on one interviews that take about 10-15 mins. Fairly standard questions like why do you want to teach, what experience have you had, etc and he also asked about equal opportunities for children and the Every Child Matters policy so I'd research that in case it comes up.

    Hope that helps.

hey! I've got an offer for Lancaster but also got one for Edge Hill so I'm just deciding which one to go for!

I think I will probably go for Lancaster though as I'm staying at home and its a little bit closer for me.

I want to know what my specialism is going to be though! I put creative arts as my first choice, but they said they might not be running that one. I've emailled them to see if I can find out!

What has everyone else put their specialism down as?
