Re: JP Morgan Schools Programme 2012
I'm interested in applying but am worried that my predicted grades will be frowned upon - BBBB (I am aiming for AAAB in my summer exams, I am doing AS btw)
Do you think that my predicted grades will let me down on this occasion and I should wait till next year where my predicted grades will most likely be higher?
    Thanks.

Just wondering if there are any other programmes similar to this? The only ones I could seem to find are the RBS insight day and I think I saw something about a Morgan Stanley Open day...

    I can vouch for this:

From the words of a VP in prime brokerage at JPM I had a coffee with on Monday

"All our grad hires were guys who did internships with us"
 I can already tell you're going to be the I_hate_teeth of the 2013 Spring Week thread.

Oh yeah guys, for the part of the application on Motivation, does the section have a work limit?

I know the CV doesn't but I mean the part of the WEBSITE where we're suppose to write it.

Are you writing different things for the one in your cv and the one in the application?

No I have only one motivation paragraph so I guess I'll do what everyone else is doing.

I mean, 300 words is ample for motivation and doing a different one is just needlessly repeating yourself and may be confusing.

How short is too short for a short paragraph? I'm struggling to see the difference between concise and lacking

To me, the "short paragraph" they say to put in your CV shouldn't be anywhere near 300 words, which is what the ask you to write about your motivation in the application form.
I mean short paragraph is more 150 words than 300...so I dunno about using the same paragraph for both.

I've written two separate ones, with the short one for the CV basically being a cut down version but includes what I expect to see on the day and what I can contribute (as it specifically says to include this in your CV).

I don't really see much harm in doing this?

I don't think it would count much if at all by abiding this strictly to what they say... At the end of the day, your one on the website is still the longer version and has more information.

I'm a little worried as I didn't get these message, I got a confirmation email as soon as I sent off my application saying my application is being reviewed and someone will be in touch shortly... Uh oh, sounds ominous :P
