You'll need more than 400 euros this year... last year the drink prices went up LOADS. pints are about 3-4 euro each now and mixers are bout 5 euro lol

Re: Malia 2012!!
Realistically €50 a day is enough but if you wana do the booze cruise it's usually €50 so bring extra for €5 you can usually get 2 large doubles an mixers and a free shot but the offers vary but that's about the norm also because there's a few of you you will get that plus a fishbowl (usually shared between 4 people) all for the €5 but there is a bar at the top of the stripe wer it's like spilt level STAY AWAY from it as Me and my friend got spiked in it last year

Re: Malia 2012!!
I guess it's different for everyone, my friend went to Malia and she only spent £100 but she's a total lightweight ha but she said most people spent £250. It depends how much predrinking you'll do and if you will be eating out or going self catered. I was planning on taking £400 worth of euros just so I don't run out.
I'm going from 27th June to 5th July, not long to go!Last edited by helen100; 15-06-2012 at 08:35. -
Re: Malia 2012!!
what exactly are people spending money on in these cases?
does anyone know how much the entry is to most clubs? what are rough price of drinks such as pints of beer, shots of vodka/tequila etc. and jaegerbombs? and are the supermarkets that expensive compared to England/is alcohol cheaper?
Cause from what I've heard that the price of supermarket booze is cheaper, then with cheap club entry and good pre drinking it shouldn't cost too much unless you eat out lots or buy lots of drinks in the club -
Re: Malia 2012!!You don't pay entry to any of the clubs. Off the top of my head (Its been a couple of years) in the bars we'd get offers like 5 euros for 2 doubles and they'd throw in 5 shots and a fishbowl depending on how big the group is (Minimum of 4 I think). Even in clubs like Apollo you can get 2 doubles for 5 euros, not too sure about other drinks mind.(Original post by WH1892)

Re: Malia 2012!!
Malia was great for me. Went with 5 friends and the strip was buzzing! Was a male fest though not going to lie. Watch out for the little old man outside the strip club on the strip who puts his fingers to his mouth and shouts 'licky licky' haha!
Altogether I brought with me 350 euros. Worked out fine except for the last day where I was starving at the airport -
Re: Malia 2012!!When I went no where charged you for clubs. However one or two may if its an event night or there are people performing. I honestly can't remember the prices. However the promoters will drag you in for drinks so make sure their clubs you like!(Original post by WH1892)

One club, think it was the rnb club? They give you free shisha when you get a drink so that was pretty good! Supermarket vodka is SO cheap! We used to pre drink a bit then go out, after all it gets you buzzing and saves a few euros -
Re: Malia 2012!!
Unless Greece leaves the Eurozone this week and their currency depreciates, the prices are going to be sky high, I went last year and they said they weren’t legally allowed to sell a drink for less than 5 euros, you can get a few deals if you’re in a large group but thats about it. Still had a great time!! it’s just expensive, you'll spend 100 euros a day easily
That's really helpful! x
