Question 6 (c) of the Solomon C4 paper H, how do you go about working this out?

I can't visualise in my head what the shortest distance would be its driving me insane!

the shortest distance from A to OB is the perpendicular distance

Thanks for the replies and the pic :smile:

But how on earth do you 'visualise' this in an exam though?!

EDIT - ok I was drawing the angle AOB as obtuse hence I couldn't seem to make things fit, if I do a sketch with it acute then I can sort of visualise it...
