For those who still got the thread on watch.

How do you do 8C?? that type of question isnt in the edexcel book/wasnt on past papers (p2 papers and c3 2005-2012) and solomon papers?!

it wasn't on any papers but it's just about rearranging equations and solving them simultaneously.

Rearrange the equation tan(theta + pi/6) = ... and make 1+root3 tan theta the subject.
Now solve the two simultaneous equations
