its just a showcase of smote universities best designers and their designs - you will probably exhibit in your final year - many employers etc go there and there are awards etc too.
its really good for picking up info about the unis and talking to students about how they find the uni away from the bravado that surrounds open days.. many lecturers will also be there
and you can talk to them.. most unis do a design book that you can pick up free. take a strong bag for them though lol! but they can provide a lot of inspiration etc and well worth the fairly small entrance fee - easily a whole day out.

Re: Product Design 2012 applicantslast year i didnt take a bag - ended up with three of those hessian bags that really hurt your shoulders when full.. we did pick up every possible book that was on display mind.. they are now all residing in a box in my cupboard along with all my other uni stuff which can get sorted the sec im done with exams.. any earlier and i wont revise but tidy! anyway i was rejected by them >.> but if you have any questions you can ask me since my sister did her foundation course and currently her masters at csm at the moment.
