out of interest did the sand-dune question ask
"How would you investigate the distribution of marram grass along the sand dune" or "... marram grass with time"?

you use a belt transect and place quadrats along it at regular intervals and then look at the percentage cover . . . i then shoved all the stuff about statistical test and reliability and stuff. . haha

Question 6) C) i) what did people put, it was the question where if you increase the flow of the human sewage the concentration of nitrates at point a decreases, but surly if your push the sewage through faster, another limiting factor will mean that not all of the nitrates will be absorbed, so conc should increase ! ?
I put that there is more kinetic energy and so there are more effective collisions of nitrates to the proteins on the root hair cells that are needed for active transport and so the uptake is at a greater rate?

    I mentioned kinetic energy

Use the evidence to explain that:

Harlessness is caused by a recessive allele (2 marks)

That hairlessness is caused by a gene on the X chromosome (1 mark)

Complete the genetic diagram etc.... (4 marks)

What is the answer to the first two?

What is the answer to the first two?
Heterozygous, mother is a carrier, Etc

Second part was that only males have it. Y chromosome shorter etc

Why a belt transect and not random sampling using quadrats?

Will i lose all 2 marks for stating yes and giving a reason for the pig question about reliability of results?
