GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes Back
Taking the next step in your studies? Here's where to talk about postgraduate study and courses.

Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes Backhahaha yeah :P(Original post by sj27)
In partial thread drift, interesting to note Landscape Architecture is considered as an Arts degree for one of those scholarships.
For qualifications looks like they would also want any non-degree qualifications under there (diplomas, professional ones etc) but definitely also seems that you should list your degrees there. -
Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes BackWell those are the definitions used in the Education literature.(Original post by apotoftea)
Not so sure given A-levels are compulsory now, so surely those come under secondary education?
I always saw further education as more vocational related stuff offered by local colleges et al?
As for recent changes, the document Corinna is reading was probably written 6 years ago, not to be edited for another 10.

Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes BackBut the remit of FE colleges is post-16 education and I'm guessing that won't change even with education becoming compulsory until 18.(Original post by apotoftea)

Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes BackThis is true; and of course you can study A-levels at further ed colleges *doh*(Original post by IlexAquifolium)

When did a levels become compulsory?

Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes BackYes, it's completely insane here. I struggled to even get home because the queues were blocking the major roads out. Nightmare.(Original post by *Corinna*)

Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes Backwhat is happening again? Is there a strike? I remember there was a 2 week strike in Greece last year. They announced it a few days before, you can imagine what followed the next day, EVERYONE was queuing to fill the tanks up, there was not enough petrol for everyone....chaos.(Original post by IlexAquifolium)

it's really interesting how feminism has affected so many fields of study. It's a huge thing in Classics as well...(Original post by Craghyrax)

Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes BackArticle on BBC news that people are panicking and filling up because of expecting petrol prices to rise...(Original post by *Corinna*)

.
Eta: another one says the panic buying is because of an expected strike.
Second edit: sorry, tired. First article was reporting some stations hiking prices in response to the panic buying (not the cause of it)Last edited by sj27; 29-03-2012 at 22:13. -
