Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes BackI thought I wasn't going to either, but they left the hacked up shards behind at the house(Original post by hobnob)
Edit: I remember that chocolate game. I played it at a children's party when I was five. Never got to eat any of the chocolate, though.
Also after a few sixes where I'd only managed to get gloves on before someone else rolled a six, I finally had a breakthrough and triumphantly hacked a massive lump off

Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes BackIf you eat it after the game has finished, it doesn't count.(Original post by Craghyrax)

Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes Back
I've never had a hang over, no matter how much I've drank. I momentously annoyed some of my flatmates during our first term together; we had a "get together and get to know each other drink" and I drank tremendously, frankly it was only thanks to one or two of our friends that we could be kept in drink. I was up and about at 8am the next day fine.
I believe it will be this way forever. I defy god to change my constitution. -
Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes BackI was the same until I hit 25. It was like somebody flipped a switch. I always got away with drinking insane amounts of alcohol without any ill effects, and now just a glass of wine can make me wake up with a headache. So yeh, that's just how it goes.(Original post by The Lyceum)

Fortunately my tolerance remains in tact.Last edited by Craghyrax; 06-05-2012 at 19:36. -

Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes BackI had my first awful hangover (as opposed to the alcohol poisoning I dallied with in my youth) when I drank after handing in my MA dissertation. I probably deserved it after the amount I drank but good God, I felt like death.(Original post by Craghyrax)

Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes BackYeh, it also started on my MPhil for me, or at the start of it.(Original post by IlexAquifolium)

Usually drinking gallons of water before bed prevents the worst, but it didn't work last night
Clearly amount is unrelated. I had two glasses of champagne, two cocktails and a ginger beer, and I didn't even feel tipsy at the end of that! However we had just done an 8 mile walk. I don't think I drank enough water on it. And I had a slight headache and a cold before we started drinking.

Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes Backsounds awesome!(Original post by Craghyrax)
I'm only now beginning to emerge from one of the most wicked hangovers of my life
I don't know what they put into that strange cocktail I had at the first bar, but I'm pretty sure it must have been responsible.
Anyway, I had an amazing hen party this weekend! ..... -
Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes BackI don't drink champagne now after that incident. I was on Kir Royales and I didn't wake up the next day until 2pm after going to bed about 1am. I then spent the rest of the day in my pyjamas trying to avoid light, sound and human contact.(Original post by Craghyrax)

I wish I knew more about which drinks to avoid/not mix. I've got the 'don't drink beer/cider with anything else', but that's about it.

Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes BackHen party sounds fantastic(Original post by Craghyrax)
x
My one and only hangover was from our end of BA dinner. I didn't even drink that much but my god I felt unwell in the morning. I had to work that afternoon and all I can remember is using the till to prop myself up with my half closed eyes as was too wobbly on my own. My poor poor head.(Original post by IlexAquifolium)

And whoop an email from afar

Ahh the dressing up chocolate game...a Becca's family birthday party staple from my youth

Sounds awesome, Crags. Ignore my post in the other thread about it! So glad it worked out for you.
Were you forced into wearing a sash/embarrassing outfit? My worst nightmare tbh. -
Re: GOGSoc Episode V: The GOG Strikes BackNah, I think a lot of my friends are a bit geeky like me and none of us were really into that sort of thing. We passed another hen party and I was trying not to(Original post by Becca)
