Cumbernauld! Whilst technically a town it is still very much worth a mention.

It'll likely be somewhere in England, no offence intended. The only real candidate in Scotland is Glasgow and some of the surrounding satellite towns like Paisley etc., all of which have cleaned up a lot in recent years.

I would probably say London, simply because of statistics and the fact that it has deep rooted social problems and some serious gang culture. London still has a very small amount of Kray style family crime businesses too.

Depends what you mean by rough.. I live on a road known for prostitutes and have caught them erm, 'servicing' their clients on our doorstep.

    Glasgow or Liverpool.

London isn't event that bad anymore. All the local Tottenham ghetto guys seem to have been shifted by the Met. I assume the same has happened in Hackney and Brixton. Plus London has never had much of a chav problem

I take it the people saying Glasgow have never taken the train to the nearby town of Paisley? Glasgow is a brilliant city-albeit in the centre and in the West End. Never let the satellite towns and housing schemes put you off from visiting a great city!

I hate it when people that probably have never been to glasgow make sensational claims about the place.

Every city has it's good and bad parts no one city is necessarily worse, however in general the larger the city and population obviously the crime stats will increase.

Glasgow isn't that bad, it's just some areas which are total dives.
