No matter how unrealistic, for Newcastle I would choose:

    1) Kompany - would make an awesome partner with Colocinni, is good at organising the defence and we're thin in terms of CBs.
    2) David Silva - a creative spark in the midfield. Along with Cabaye, Tiote and Ben Arfa/Jonas, that would make a very strong midfield capable of breaking attacks and creating new ones.
    3) Backary Sagna - if fit and at his best, he's probably the best RB in the league.

I would have said Van Persie or Yaya Toure, but a striker and a centre-midfielder aren't really necessary for our team right now.

Indeed. Dont really 'need' Kompany as much as others maybe, but i just think that partnership would be epic ;D. Probably quite a few others players, but ah well.

    LFC need:

Steven Fletcher (would take Ba, but he's at the cup of nations)
David Silva (everyone wants him, and for good reason)
Baines/Bale (either can play left back or left wing and both are ON FORM)

    FOR LIVERPOOL

    Bale
    Aguero
    Yaya Toure :beard:

There is a horrible lack of absolutely top quality central midfielders about at the moment

I was very impressed with the reserves tonight, Mike. Your thoughts?

    Six-y football.

Good to see Fletch on the sidelines and in the dug-out. Normally Scholesy's there but not tonight. Guess he's resting his old body in preparation for the scousers on Saturday?
