Re: CURRENT YEAR 12s-Hopeful Medics (Mk. II)!I do have to say some patients were absolutely lovely(Original post by chiny94)
haha yeah gynae gave me a scar too :L and really? I loved general medicine! all the elderly patients were lovely and they weren't dying luckily... But the speciality out of gynae, a&e and geriatrics, I will have to say A&E! It was so hectic and eventful plus, the doctors were nicer (doctors in geriatrics/GM were lovely bunch but they didn't elaborate much!) and they explained every little details to me which i thought was ultra sweet :') what about you?
aw really? That's so nice of the doctors- especially as they're argueably the busiest ones! Out of general medicine, GP'ing, urology, ENT, paeds, general surgery and OBG I think I liked OBG. Not too same-ish and quite intresting too
also quick question to everyone- if I emailed a uni a question and the admissions tutor emails me an answer back, do I email back to say thank you? I would think they're so busy they probably don't want it, but not sure? :/ -
Re: CURRENT YEAR 12s-Hopeful Medics (Mk. II)!what is it?(Original post by TheBigDog)

Re: CURRENT YEAR 12s-Hopeful Medics (Mk. II)!Yeah, I think I'm going to try and get some revision done this weekend, with plenty of breaks!(Original post by Pride)
I find my motivation varies, sometimes I just want to get on and the time flies by, other times it's a struggle. Just keep going. Take breaks, treat yourself too - positive reinforcement and that.
I find speaking to classmates at school gets me more motivated too lol, I know it's a bit wrong of me, but I like beating my friends. I'm lucky enough to not have to spend ages in the library revising to do well, but when they tell me about how long they spend revising, I just make doubley sure I don't miss anything out
I'm glad I'm not the only one who wants to revise a bit more when I hear my friends talking about how much they've revised

Re: CURRENT YEAR 12s-Hopeful Medics (Mk. II)!hehe same! £1 journey there and back on the ol' oyster. Not bad.
Would any of you be up for meeting up on the day? (trying to say this in the least stalker way
) I mean, how about if I tell you what top I'll be wearing, so you can stop me and say hello if you spot me? That'd be a nice surprise!

Re: CURRENT YEAR 12s-Hopeful Medics (Mk. II)!I've had the book since last year and tend to do a couple of questions a month (so pretty much nothing) out of it atm. I find the DA and QR the easiest and the VR and the AR the hardest.(Original post by Hippokrates)
Who's started looking at the UKCAT? I've been doing the odd question every now and again going to start revising after my exams and aim to do it at the end of August. What is everybody else doing? -
Re: CURRENT YEAR 12s-Hopeful Medics (Mk. II)!have a look on the websites/prospectuses of the med schools you're thinking of applying to. They all vary. Most do multiple choice exams, most do SSCs and essays. They do go from topic to topic, but because no part of the body is independent, they tend to spiral and cover things over and over.(Original post by Killki06)
Hey, does anyone know how exams are structured for medicine? Is it essay based, modular, multiple choice, etc.? Is there a website that tells you this? I can'f find any info on the uni website!
Have a look in some prospectuses.
