Re: LNAT results thread 2012I love how if we rewind 3 months we were all nervous and anxious about our LNAT results and uni applications. But now we are like Suck itt uni accept me, and I decline you(Original post by mathsmusicfrench)
I worked my ass off, got a mid-to-decent score, managed to secure places at two LNAT universities... and then rejected them both. Haha! Crazy fool!

Re: LNAT results thread 2012Really? THAT soon? Because I am going to be meeting University of Birm. in India on the 5th of May. So I don't know know what to say to them. Because usually, people meet these Unis and get an offer on the spot or atleast get an idea or a recommendation.(Original post by mathsmusicfrench)
Immediately after you sit it. or at least as soon as pearson vue can send it.
Good luck, don't worry, its not the be all and end all of UCAS
I can't do any of that because I don't have the LNAT scores, but they'll mostly have.
I really don't want to miss the opportunity of negotiating with them! -
Re: LNAT results thread 2012What rubbish. Interesting score of 43/42(Original post by Thegoodleftundone)
Poor showing mate, I got 43
Only LNAT uni I applied to is Brum, and I got an offer, so quite interested to see mine too.
Did they award you an extra mark for chatting absolute rubbish? -
Re: LNAT results thread 2012Exactly the same scenario as me. Interesting.(Original post by malvika111)
I've got offers from all my unis except Oxford (rejected post-interview)... out of my choices, King's, UCL and Oxford needed the LNAT. Can't wait to see what my result was! -
Re: LNAT results thread 2012He's obviously joking..(Original post by t.o)

Re: LNAT results thread 2012
i ****ed up the LNAT due to nerves of exams (which carried on into my A2 jan exams, resulting in resits in june -__-), completely left out the essay bit at the end and just sat there blank for the last 10 mins of the exam - nevertheless i only applied to 2 lnat unis (who both rejected me which i was expecting although i didn't give a **** about one of them anyway) and has got offers from equally as good law schools thankfully!

Re: LNAT results thread 2012
I messed mine up too... I don't know what I was thinking when I went in there. I really hadn't done any preparation whatsoever, the day itself I was a nervous wreck to the point that I was shaking when filling in my answers. Then at the end I had about twenty minutes spare, so started looking through my answers and ended up second-guessing myself and changed about 6 of my first 10, when it wasn't necessary. The essay wasn't too bad, I think my argument was solid, but I didn't mention the actual legal argument I was trying to make (despite it being obvious)... oh well!
I got a score of 19, and rejected from KCL and UCL, which isn't surprising as I am a mature student and other than some mediocre GCSE's from 11 years ago, had no evidence of academic ability to show them.
I was tempted to take a year out and reapply as now I've passed my course with full marks I have a lot more to offer. I also have a better understanding of what I need to do for the LNAT... but no, Exeter is fine and I'm going to attempt Durham through Adjustment.
(Also, Uni of Manchester said they would consider all LNAT scores over 10.)Last edited by Elle408; 18-07-2012 at 13:06. -
Re: LNAT results thread 2012
you're really going to consider adjustment (nothing wrong with it)? there's nothing wrong with exeter law (as with every Russell Group (oxbridge in its own league ofc
)). i personally wouldn't bother with adjustment. i'm on course to achieve A*AAA/AAAA at A Level (touch wood!) and have firmed sheffield happily for law - i still wouldn't consider adjustment if i over-achieve the grades. just be happy with where you are
-
Re: LNAT results thread 2012I am happy with Exeter, as I said... but for a variety of reasons I'm going to attempt Durham. If I don't get in, then I won't be upset, it'll just mean I have to look harder for work and I won't be living near my family and friends. Exeter is an excellent university and I'm chuffed to have gained a place, it just turns out that Durham would probably work better for me in the long run.(Original post by thelawstudent)

(And according to statistics, 7% of Exeter students obtain a first in Law, whilst 11% of Durham students do, I like those slightly increased odds.) -
Re: LNAT results thread 2012would those statistics come from unistats?(Original post by Elle408)

Re: LNAT results thread 2012Durham is in Adjustment AFAIK.. apparently they gave out too few offers.(Original post by Grenville)
Can you apply to Durham through Adjustment?? -
Re: LNAT results thread 2012I sat my LNAT today (15th) and I am wondering about that too. I'm just going to take it to mean that you can sit it up to the end of the date known as the '15th'. So basically until it turn to the 16th you can sit it - at least that's what I am relying on!(Original post by DaphneP)
Guys I'm just wondering, when the regulations state that the exam must be taken "before the 15th of January", does that mean that we can take it on the 15th of January?
