how much will be rent for staying in central london ?
How much will be the rent in staying in central London, close to baker street or regents park? Just for one person.. Will i find an apartment in like 500-600 per month? i dont mind sharing with a couple of people to.

I got accepted in Regents business school and brunel university, Of course brunel will be much cheaper in terms of rent and living expense, but then again its not central. My dad has giving me a budget and has told me to choose which uni to go to.. i got some friends from home and cousins in central. So back to question.. will around 500 quid be enough to rent an apartment for a month ?

£500 per month for a room won't get you far at all in Central London. The best thing to do is to go to a website like www.spareroom.co.uk or www.moveflat.com and see what the costs are and many of them seem to start at around £600/month and you will need to add bills to that as well. Why do you need to live in Central London though? There is excellent transport available and you can live much more cheaply just a 10-15min tube ride from the university.

As above - that won't get you far. I pay £700 a month (bills included) and have a nice house on a quiet street 10 minutes on the tube from London Waterloo. Admittedly, my 'hood' is quiet a poor area and destitute, but my house is nice and I don't have anything to do with the local community. You don't need to be living in central, just closeish to it.

Looks like a flat in that area would be more like £500-600 per week...

...glad I don't want to live in central London.

£500. lol. Don't even think about Central London unless you've got at least £850 a month (taking into account living expenses as well as rent) to blow. Many landlords in that area would laugh £500 outta town

I live in this area and a decent flat (even with sharing) will be around (and this is on the lower side) £200 a week!

No chance of finding a 1 person flat for that price. A friend of mine lives in a 3 bed flat which has been converted into a 4 bed (the reception room is now a bedroom)- and her and her flatmates pay £130pw excluding bills.

Start selling organs if you want to pay for it.

You'll have much better luck finding a place for that price if you share with some other people, £500 per month for a 1 bed in central London is very difficult to find.

Central? No. You're looking at 900 minimum.
However, a few mins away on the tube, you're bound to find a decent place. Go a tad north or west.

My friend lives in London, apparently near covent gardens, and her rent (shared flat in a nice area with 2 others) is £500 per month excluding bills.
    Hope this helps a bit.

    don't listen to people here

You can get a flat near to regents park for that price if you share. I'm paying £550 for a room in a flat I share near and know loads of others who are paying less. I live in a relatively nice flat as well if you're prepared to live somewhere a bit scummier you can get something cheaper
