Panicking for this exam now - I think I could scour my brain for the B question, but it's the A question I fear the most. Am doing Descartes and fear they'll ask either an oddly-worded question or something like the essential natures of mind and body; something I just find so incredibly dull and unforgettable that I'm having trouble remembering it.

What are people's preferences for the B question. I think I'm hoping for a mind/body distinction or arguments for/role of God.
are you going to revise just 2 essays for the part B? thats what im thinking of doing because no matter what theres 3 choices so with 2 it'll be fine.

That's a good idea actually, though I've gotten to the stage in my revision where I reckon I could answer any clearly-worded B essay well/decently.

Remember to be careful in what topic you miss out though, as the A question will be on that and you'll still need to pick up the AO1/AO2 marks.

I'm predicting A to be mind/body (outline and illustrate Descartes' intermingling thesis) and the B to be God (role of God in establishing certainty) and certainty (whether Descartes' succeeds in establishing the existence of the external world). Would be happy with those three questions, not sure which B essay I'd choose though.

Anyone got some good notes/sites/textbooks that could help me with PHIL3? Gonna do Philosophy of Religion and Epistemology . Any help would be greatly appreciated, self teaching has its weaknesses :/.

AS level: High A & Medium C (no idea why the difference)

    Now my A2 in Summer:
PHIL3: political philosophy & philosophy of religion
PHIL4: Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil

Nietzsche is very interesting but annoying to read (poorly put together) and is highly critical of other philosophers especially Plato - I would have rather done The Republic.
