Re: The Uni Study Thread Mk II(Original post by hothedgehog)
Hey, it's not a rejection - there is still hope!******** from the Medical School Library has now contacted me with the decisions of the interviews. I am very sorry but unfortunately she has not selected you for one of the positions. She has provided the following feedback. She said that you presented yourself very well and gave a very good interview. You came across as very capable, a good team player and had the ability to work confidently on a task on your own. The reason she did not select you was because she felt you had less practical experience than the candidates she chose and also because you never been involved in a stock take of the library before.

Re: The Uni Study Thread Mk IIYeah, I did that too! I finished uni on May 30th and gave myself 2 weeks to find some work. Didn't happen.(Original post by Sapphire_Eyes)
I will be from next week i'm avoiding as much as possible and hoping between now and then i get a job!
Just got another rejection in my inbox
. Weirdly, I'm not too down about it yet - I think it might start to hit me after a few weeks of signing on. But at the moment I'm okay - once I run out of TV boxsets and fail videos I think I might start getting sad lol

I'm so sorry to hear this Arcadia
How are you meant to get experience if they don't give you a chance? Grr.

I know, and a monkey could do a stock take of a library, and seeing as I've worked in a library before I'm not sure what more they wanted

Thanks
Aww
Hopefully you'll have done alright
I'm sure you will have! I've been off uni since mid-May and I'm so bored out of my mind!
Everything's alright, just been chilling since uni finished.. and a getting a tad bored haha. I really need a job to keep me occupied! When am your results out ?
Thanks! I hope so. We'll see. I've been keeping busy so I've been ok so far but it's only been 5 days so
That's good. Yea it's difficult to find things to do. I've got a few books out and things to read over the summer so I should be ok. Will keep myself busy anyway. I'm lucky I have a job at home to go back too, and a boyfriend to see as often as I can too so all will be good
My results are on or before 6th of July. Quick really!

. It's okay - I made my application online and my first meeting in the jobcentre is on Friday - it think that's when it will sink in! At the moment I'm feeling pretty positive, I'm sure they'll rectify that though

Good luck, my brother is going through the same thing (he's not an arts graduate though, he was sensible enough to not do a McDegree like me
).

Re: The Uni Study Thread Mk IIPersonally I'd rather put a bullet through my head than become a teacher(Original post by Norton1)
I would place a small wager on this happening; http://www.education.gov.uk/get-into...-training/pgce
(No offence to aspiring teachers, it's just not for me. If your heart's not in it then you'll make a crap teacher and from experience I know how that can mess things up for kids.

Re: The Uni Study Thread Mk II
Got a rejection on a job gutted its the one which is closet to me as well. Hoped I would of made it to an interview stage hopefully I'll get this one and save enough money for the Msc/MRes 2013.
Still got one to hear from and got another five to apply for 3 in Cambridge which would mean re-locating and another two closer to home.
