My flatmates study in the kitchen and I feel like I'd be disturbing them if I went to make food

I'm sorry but tough ****? It's a kitchen for making food in so that's what you should do in there!

I study in the kitchen sometimes and I don't mind people going to make food. Your flatmates should accept that others could come in if they want to study in there.

    Motivation, where have you gone?

Reading for my dissertation. Realistically, I don't think I can start exam revision until the dissertation is finished - which is basically going to take the whole of the Easter break. It's painstakingly slow making progress with it. I need 9,000 in just under 2 weeks. FML.

Something strange is happening in my dissertation results. I got data for this other core and I've just sorted it all out and it comes out with some crazily wrong dating. I can only presume that I've ****ed up somewhere...Will have to go and see tutor on Tuesday to sort it out. I'm hoping that I can have a vaguely finished dissertation by then (presumably barring the conclusion and a completed discussion though).

Don't worry - I'm in the same boat. 8-10k words with a 3000 word summary paper by 16th. I'm currently about 3800 words of completely unformatted text and pretty much no graphs. It will be finished though.

Totally agree. I'm just one of those people that prefers time to themselves, and I really can't be arsed to walk into the kitchen and make pointless small talk with the 3 people that had made my life and 2 other (decent) flatmate's lives absolute hell.

Can't wait to be shot of the place!

    Sucks doesn't it?
I'm determined to get it done before I go back after the break.

I managed to read 3 articles today. I'm going to read one more tonight and then carry on with a bit more enthusiasm tomorrow. I reckon I'll use the sciences library to study tomorrow because the humanities one always has people chatting due to the ridiculous amounts of 'social study' areas. Shame that none of my books are in the sciences library though!

It's hit me how much I need to learn for these exams including all these bloody names. I've started giong through the articles I was supposed to read for my IR seminar and didnt have time to and have some decent notes. So much more intersting than American History- that feels like being shut in a box because White Anglo Saxon Protestant Americans basically didnt care for anyone else.

Got 3 1/2 hours sleep last night. Decided to go out tonight. Still have about 2 hours worth of work to do, packing, cleaning and shower to do, but I now feel sick/hungry. I have no food left as I'm going home in 6 hours and the feeling sick thing is affecting productivity.

Up at 8:15, success! Time to have a shower then start on some finance. Time to get things done.

Got a B+ on my wildlife conservation coursework 1 so very happy. Gutted I didnt do anything done yesterday I got soaked and very cold and could barley do anything and ended up crashing out.

So today going to do coursework 2 today which is 3200 words so hopefully it'll get me back into the swing of everything. Plus it will mean I have another module finished.

Just about to start revision for the day, aiming to get through the last two articles on the US & China and then get back to US immigration :/ Was planning to do a big revison session tomorrow but my Mum is insisting I need to cook for the family dinner we are having that night (for a religions festival).

Have gotten a good deal of work done on the mini-dissertation in the past two days. But the computer rooms at uni (where I do all my best thinking!) are closed until Tuesday - not a happy bunny about this. The library is still open (bar Sunday) so the plan is to go in tomorrow and make an attempt to be productive there (I don't know what it is about the library, for some reason I just cannot seem to focus properly there??? Here's hoping tomorrow will be different.)

Right now I'm wondering how on earth people can remember academics names for the exams.
