Experience of Summer Schools at Oxbridge?

Dear Community,

currently, I study law in Germany and this summer I would like to participate in a four week summer school at either Cambridge (English Legal Methods) or Oxford (International Human Rights).

What I hope to gather from this course is

a) a better understanding of certain aspects of the law
b) work in a high-profile, fast paced student environment
c) get to know capable people from all around
d) brand my CV with the institution's name

The courses are both very expensive (around 3300/6500 Pounds respectively). I do have a scholarship that would pay most of if it, so I do not worry about that, in case someone would want to tell me that it's not worth the price.

My principal question is whether someone has already participated in either these or other summer schools of Oxbridge. What are your experiences? How do you evaluate the realisticness of my expectations?

Thank you very much in advance!

I went on the Oxford UNIQ summer school last year and it was a fantastic experience, I learnt a lot about the subject and Oxford University and it was also great fun. However to my knowledge it is vastly different to the ones you speak of, so I can't really help you with that, sorry.
Ditto the above post. Sorry.
