Re: Dietetics offers 2012
There is the option of doing nutrition undergrad and then doing a masters plus nutrition will give you everything you need and broader prospectives and opertunities and you will have acquired a broad spectrum of skills that are important in doing a degree this is the method i took after dropping out of my first year in dietetics well i just never went back for the second year. I found i have grown as a person and more ready for dietetics than ever before and if i dont get in there are so many other oppertunities available that i wont be dissapointed in the least. as over my studys i have acquired other intrests that i didnt have before my undergraduate that i never knew i would take an interest in but i really have. Having blinkers on regarding a single degree you want to do isnt often the best method. i really love my undergrad just make sure you chose an accredated course!
I hope everything works out for you

Re: Dietetics offers 2012
Hey dietetian2016, I applied for Hert in ther beginning of Dec, didn't get offered an interview, and they rejected me about two weeks ago. I was pretty annoyed, but didn't want to go there anyway! Just gutted they rejected me before I rejected them! Had my interview at Cardiff Met last weds, gonna hear back next week I think. Did anybody here have their interview at Cardiff then??

Re: Dietetics offers 2012Hi serendipity,(Original post by serendipity1985)
Just got my Surrey offer! Yay!
I'm on an Access Course and they have asked for all 60 credits to be at a Distinction level and a B grade in my GCSE
Leeds Met gave an offer of 45 Merits or above with a C in English GCSE which I am declining.
Have an interview at UWIC which I am going to decline and am still waiting to hear from Coventry but am likely to pull out my application now I have the Surrey offer.
May I ask which access course are you on? Is there a website you can refer me to?
Thanks -
Re: Dietetics offers 2012The course I am on is a Biological and Biomedical Access - I take modules in Biology, Further Biology, Chemistry and Further Chemistry.(Original post by intrig)
Hi serendipity,
May I ask which access course are you on? Is there a website you can refer me to?
Thanks
This is the link to the college but it won't let me link to the correct page in the prospectus - If you go to "Search for courses" on the left hand side and just type Access into the course title - search with that and it should come up!

Re: Dietetics offers 2012
I am a mature student (32) applying for Dietetics.
So far I have offers from Surrey and UWIC (Cardiff) and London Met (I'm not keen on London Met.
Surrey is my fist choice in terms of location and course content, but my concern is when I went to the open day there seemed to be very few other mature students. Are there any other mature dietetics apps planning to go to Surrey Uni?
Cardiff seemed to be a lot more diverse in terms of the age range of people on the course, a student told me the eldest was 52 on her Dietetics course. -
Re: Dietetics offers 2012I've got my interview for Nottingham on Wednesday, my letter about it came in the half term.(Original post by iona.carys)
Hey guys,
I was wondering how many of you have heard from Nottingham?
I haven't yet, so starting to expect a rejection. The waiting is killing me though!
Hope you hear from them soon, if not ring the admissions tutor and see what they say about your application

I'm a mature student (27), and have been accepted to Surrey Dietetics. The majority of applicants on my interview day were mature and it definitely doesn't put you at a disadvantage.
Good Luck! -

Hopefully I'll see you in September then! I have all my answers in now and Surrey is definately my best offer. I'm determined to get the 60 distinctions they want...... -
Re: Dietetics offers 2012Were you there on 24th feb? I got mine in and it's the same as yours. I'm probably going to firm Surrey but I'm not 100%. I loved the atmosphere in the whole city but I would misss my friends in the south east. I dont think my other half wants to move to Wales.(Original post by foodo7)
I receieved my offer from Cardiff met yesterday, I am an access student and then want 48merits overall, with 15 distinctions in biology and 15 distinctions in chemistry, this seems pretty high! What kind of offers is everyone else getting?
Was I talking to you about being u/s at Hertfordshire? We both thought it was an insult lol -
Re: Dietetics offers 2012Yes, I probably should! Thankyou! And I hope your interview went well!(Original post by ohhaiikim)
