Four Year Degree Courses
Hi,
Edinburgh is currently top of my list of potential universities as it offers a combined course of History of Art and English Literature, as well as being an established and highly regarded university. However, I know all the degrees offered in Scotland are four year - something my parents can't really afford to maintain. In a talk a few weeks ago I believe a teacher at my college mentioned that students could skip first year at Scottish universities if they received high grades in subjects relevant to their courses and I was just wondering if this was true? I currently take both English Literature and Art History for AS (and will carry them on to A2). -

Re: Four Year Degree Courses2nd year entry in the arts and humanities is not possible. However, I don't see what business it is of your parents. You should take advantage of the universal student loans that cover your fees and come anyway, if you think Edinburgh is your preference.(Original post by fliotia)
