Moderators won't usually comment on individual decisions here, the best thing to do is ask in Ask a Moderator - however I would imagine that either the thread went off-topic / became too flame-waring / broke the rules in some other way.

No, but they will have a reason. Instead of making a thread openly. You need to go to Ask A Mod forum and ask this question there. And one of the mods will then answer your following questions. I think they may say it was a result of consistant spamming/trolling. :dontknow:
what constitutes trolling. can you give me a link to tsr guidelines on what their definition of trolling is

They don't need to give a reason in the thread. And moderator decisions may be subjective, based on their opinion, but then with things such as if a topic is going off topic, it will always be subjective to if it has gone too far off topic or not.

You can ask in your thread about the three threads, and if you say you don't understand why, they may explain in more detail for you - thats the best you can get I'm afraid.

Erm no, i disagree, they DO need to give a reason. So next time you know what you shudnt do.
You can disagree all you like, they DON'T need to give a reason in the thread. (Oh look, I can use caps as well.) Look at the thread that the OP linked. Several threads are closed without a moderator saying why, just as threads are deleted without a note left saying why. If you ask in AAM, they will tell you. If you break rules, you will be warned or alerted, which will say what you did wrong. If a thread just went off-topic, it will just be closed (or split).

Lastly, why are you deleting your posts...

    Linky.

No personal attacks or inflammatory behaviour

We want The Student Room to be a welcoming, friendly and inclusive site. As such personal attacks and inflammatory behaviour will not be tolerated in any area of the site. Posting inflammatory material specifically to provoke a negative response from someone (sometimes referred to as trolling on TSR) will be similarly penalised.

I didn't say it! I said, this is what the mods may think and CHILL i know how you feel, i got the same amount of warning points as you.

Plus it's not the mods just picking on you, it's other members that are reported your threads, which the mods have to then deal with. Stupid!
i have been told that even if people report a thread it wont get removed unless it violated some guidelines.

do you think that thread violated a guideline?

Wow you need a medal  They DO need to, thats why there is always the rule that you broke in the report message, and a comment which usually reinforces the rule 'dont spam and that'.

The thread closes usually because many others have reported it, therefore he will get a warning saying so and so, and this will result in shutting down the thread. Real talk!

Why the **** you asking me like i'm your dad or something.

And NO, it only gives them more of a reason to shut it down, if others report you.

If you believe this, post in Ask A Supermod, saying you think one moderator is picking on your unfairly, if you feel you are not breaking the rules. However, it is very rare for the moderators to abuse their powers afaik.

I'm going to close this thread now, as it's gotten pretty nasty and the best place for the OP to get an answer is Ask a Moderator. Thanks to rmhumphries for directing him there in the first place!
