ChronicleFor those who haven't watched - it's surprisingly good.
This comment from IMDB sums it up for me;
Three high school friends gain superpowers after making an incredible discovery. Soon, though, they find their lives spinning out of control and their bond tested as they embrace their darker sides.
I went to an early screening of this movie in Europe while on a trip. I went into the cinema expecting an average movie with average acting and an average script. BOY WAS I SURPRISED! Not only did this movie deliver (and boy did it ever!) but it exiled in all of those fields above! Amazing effects and ideas. The fact that the main character could hold the camera up with his powers made it very smooth and provided a lot of camera angles that you wouldn't normally see in a found footage film. I really hope this becomes a major franchise. If you want to see a good movie and have a great time then by all means, go see this film. -

Re: ChronicleVery compelling I thought. Dame DeHaan is fantastic, and the last half hour is absolutely thrilling. Would highly recommend it, some light hearted moments in the early parts too- *spoiler* Like when they are in the shop and tricking everyone

It's got good stunts/effects coupled with a good story and an excellent cast - something of a rarity these days.(Original post by Xanth)

Re: ChronicleI really enjoyed Chronicle. Not the best film I've ever seen but one of my favourite super power films.
The only criticism I have is the fact that it's a found footage film, it really didn't need to be in my view. The found footage technique is wearing a bit thin with me after this and Troll Hunter. There are too many scenes that feel forced which breaks my engagement. -

Re: ChronicleI didn't expect much from this film but I saw it tonight and actually really enjoyed it! The trailer made it look pretty crap, I almost didn't bother going. It was pretty short though!

They've just confirmed that they will be making a Chronicle 2.. i hope they use a new set of kids and don't try to continue the original story.Spoiler:ShowI expect them to do a second one about Matt trying to find out about why they got superpowers, though I hope they don't, something I liked about the film was that it didn't spend ages trying to make up reasons for the superpowers. I hope they don't bring in aliens...
