Independent Student - almost 3 years

Hi there, i was wondering if I'd be able to apply as an independent student if i started working in november 2009 (almost 3 years ago)? If, let's say, on 2009 I got paid more than £7.5k?

You will have to show 3 x p60 statements showing you earned over £7.5k. They seem pretty strict with this.
and is it the tax year of the three years? cos if i havent started working on april of 2009, when the tax year begins, but have earned over £7.5k in the total of the year, would that be alright?

It is full tax years.
