no it was the first time for me! ah that's good, yeah i heard the other paper is meant to be hard..probably why my school doesn't do it then haha!

i did plate tectonics, world cities (questions) and ecosystems essay

predicted an A but just need a B for uni so if i dropped to a B it wouldn't be the end of the world, but obviously i would rather get an A haha. what grade do you need?

This paper wasnt has difficult as I expected, I did tonnes of research for Conflict, and turns out the question I wanted to come up in the 40mark for conflict came up. Did anyone else do the essay on the impact on conflict ? and what case studies did you use

GEOG3: 69/90 A*, 61/90 A, 53/90 B

GEO4A: 47/60 A*, 42/60 A, 37/60 B

GEO4B: 45/60 A*, 40/60 A, 35/60 B

Anyone else think they're a bit.. high? :/ I thought the highest its ever been on GEOG3 was 67..

that is very high for Unit 3, not ever seen it that high, people must have done well or the exam must have been easy, only ways it can be that high.

I hope you read the word OR in my post.

It will very rarely be an easy exam and people get good marks.

I have seen all the answers for the exam and it wasn't easy.

Unit 3 markers NEVER mark kindly, well the ones I know don't.

Most of them seem to be older teachers who seem be part of SMT or some senior geography bod who has time on their hands.

Unit 4A is a far better exam

Thats ridiculously high. It wasn't an easy exam, it wasn't really hard but it wasn't easy. Clearly everyone did really well, which is irritating as now we're all penalised for doing well! The boundary for an A is up 4 marks from last year too.

2-3 mark increase you can understand, anything higher you can't.

It does show that teachers have worked out what is going on with the exams, have been going down the spec for the major questions, however next exam season that is changing I think.

I met my conditions for Oxford, and I think I got an A* in something as well because my Durham offer of A*AA changed to unconditional too XD
