Plate tectonics- pretty sure there will be something on earthquakes, tsuanmis or intrusive volcanic activity (ugh)

Globalisation- Defo defo NICs, (although horrible. I'm REALLY hoping for something like TNCs- would be a dream.)


I've done way more revision this year than last, just hoping the questions will be okay! How is everyone feeling about the exam?

for world cities i don't think they've asked an essay question on retailing so i'm hoping that comes up xD

i agree with you on plate techonics, i'm hoping they ask about tsunamis cos theres quite a bit to write about it but nothing on intrusive

globalisation - when you say NICs do you mean India and China that's in the book? I was thinking a product like Mattel barbie might come up seeing as question like that hasn't ever?

Yes, perhaps they could ask a question on a product, through I don't think that's very likely. I hate hate hate India and China though, none of it really makes sense to me at all. DO you have the blueish/black book with the picture of a person (lol, GREAT description I know, but its upstairs and I ceebs get off my bum to go get it)-- anyway, I really don't think it explains it very well at all.

How likely is it that it will be on urbanisation? Are you just guessing, or has it not come up in a while? What about re urbanisation?

I just don't seem to really have many notes on urbanisation D:

LOL no i've got the AQA A2 Geography book with like 4 people on the front measuring something, a picture of a sky and volcano and a city?
It's got good descriptions of India and China in it xD

Perhaps comparing case studies and how they grew, e.g. service sectors, comparing India and China, the economies etc. Maybe the Four Asian Tigers? (horrible question I know. Praying that it won't come up, but I really think it will.)

I don't think it has come up in a while, but I think if it does, it will be one of the structured questions, don't worry, I highly doubt they'll ask you to write a 3 page essay on it. I don't have many notes either, I guess its a case of blagging and writing a lot about a little.


as for re-urbanisation, that hasn't come up in a while, as far as I know. They might ask something about how we encourage people to move back into the cities, e.g. gentrification, property-led schemes, sustainable communties, weighing each options. They might ask something about poorer countries and how they might improve the housing.

I'd draw a diagram which showed where they are in relation to each other.
