I am doing Maths, Further Maths and Additional Further Maths.
Okay, I'm butting in here, but three maths AS levels?! I'm struggling with just plain old maths GCSE! I'm truly amazed! Wow, I didn't even know you could take Addtional Further Maths!

I will be starting on my AS revision guides.
Wouldn't you be better off with the full books? Revision guides won't teach you everything you cover in lessons, unless you don't mind that.

I usually just use the CGP Revision Guides, as I find them quite enjoyable! Can you suggest any decent full course books?

    Yes, I love my iPad!
Eurgh, I'd never spend money on Literature material. -.- I don't know how people can revise for English.

And I thought I was enthusiastic...
As soon as I have finished P3/C3/B3, I will be starting on my AS revision guides. I'm not touching them until I've completed my science GCSE's though. I don't have enough time in the day at this moment in time! All my spare time is spent reading.

Are you doing OCR science, B3C3P3?

Email the college you want to go to and ask what they recommend / use.

    Me too.

I made a thread in the chemistry sub-forum, you might find it useful.

Just ordered all my English lit revision guides
    Which guides have you ordered?

I have York Notes for Heroes, Hobson's Choice and Of Mice And Men, although I now wished that I had used 'Letts Explore' rather than York Notes, but oh well lol, they will do!

I've just checked it out, and that's quite interesting! But as it already says on the thread, don't you get extra marks for the long winded calculations, rather than retrieving the answer from one calculation that won't be stated on the mark scheme?

On C2, a correct answer gave full marks.
I'm not sure about C3, but I'm sure that it will be the same as C2.

I think I may adopt your method. Much simpler.

Cool, how many marks do you need in the C3 exam?

As it stands, I need 88 marks for an A*. I did poor in the ISA (did it in year 10) so I'll be resitting it this holiday.

And whilst we're at it, what marks do you need for P3 and B3?

The marks I need for A*'s are:
    Chemistry: 67
    Biology: 72
    Physics: 60

    You?

That re-sit sounds sensible, just to be safe!!

They are really good marks, well done.

    Chemistry: 88
    Physics: 84
    Biology: 104 (or 64 for A)

Already done resits for physics coursework, p1a, p1b and b1b, waiting for results.

Planning to resit B2 (75 marks).

Thank you, so are yours! Good luck with your re-sit results too.
That B2 paper was quite nasty. It was the dodgiest one I've ever come across anyway...

I'm currently making a word document for C3, almost like my own revision guide. I think revising like this will help, would you like to look at it when I'm finished?

That's quite an interesting method of revising. Yes I'll definitely take a look. My method of revising is teaching. I have a girlfriend who I have been with for over 2 years now, and I have basically taught her through her Maths and Science GCSE's. Once you can teach something thoroughly with no prompt cards, you know it pretty well! I even held my own revision classes after school sometimes

I've been lazy and stupid. The earliest I've started revising for a science exam is the day before, and quite often on the day in the car whilst going to school.

I've offered to teach my parents but they're not interested and I've never had the motivation to do it myself.

I don't know where my motivation has come from but the past few days I have the drive to work hard, I think I want really good results and the exam period kicking in soon has affected me.

I've always preferred learning to revising, by far.

I have a friend who does next to no revision, and gets very comfortable A*'s. He claims that revision makes him forget things. I say he's just a lazy bugger like yourself

My parents don't like being taught either, they'd much rather watch period dramas -.- It's really useful having a girlfriend sometimes
My motivation kicked in at the back end of last year. I used to be a right clown. Now I'm more focused than anybody, and all my friends and teachers are really confused/happy that I'm working properly lmao.

Once I have been taught something once, I don't usually need to be taught it again, and I can quite happily just revise it myself when I like.

What are you taking at College?
