Re: Current Year 11 Thread Mark IIIs that all the information you are provided with? There should be some mention of speed or acceleration. If the skier is slowing down, then there should be an arrow pointing to the upper-left (against the direction of travel). If the skier is accelerating, there should be an arrow pointing to the lower right.(Original post by Sheel1)
can somebody help me on this question please? I'm rubbish at Resistance been trying to understand it so i concluded that: if there resultant force = Accleration... BUT if it's in electricity it be the one trying to slow it down. ( is this correct )
Spoiler:Show
You are right in thinking that resultant force ~ acceleration. In this situation, you need to find out whether the weight (force due to gravity) of the skier is greater than the resistive forces acting upon him. The only way you'd know that is if the question mentioned a change in speed though. -

Re: Current Year 11 Thread Mark IIA lot of things. I did WJEC last year.(Original post by Paparazzo)
Does anybody know what in particular the examiner (WJEC but I'm certain the other boards don't stray too far) are looking for with English Literature and/or Language for the top grades?
Clear, relevant answers. Answers that show thought. Answers that are backed up by quotes or extracts from the text. A good and creative use of vocabulary. Using the correct writing style which is required. Not misspelling (too much). Good grammar. They are basically looking for candidates who have an understanding and appreciation of the texts. They are looking for creative answers that are convincing (use quotes to back this up).
Is there something in particular you are worried or unsure about? -

The thing I'm unsure about in particular is the actual structure of my answers. I'm not sure how I do that. -
Re: Current Year 11 Thread Mark IIThank God I did mine last year

RE with Edexcel is really easy, so you'll do fine!
Just make sure that you know the techniques on how to answer the questions and make sure that you know the meanings to the keywords
Revise from mark schemes, the questions are really repetitive, so this would be my strongest advice!
If you need any help, then just ask me!
Good Luck

Re: Current Year 11 Thread Mark IISame! I think some case studies are inter-linked though to reduce the amount we have to learn (:(Original post by Pandora.)
Case studies are my worst enemy. There's so many of them, and I don't know which ones are which!
Which topics do you do?
I'm doing Physical: Ice on the land; Water on the land; Ecosystems.
And Human: Tourism; Devlopment; Urbanisation
Apparently our geography department have chosen the easiest topics O_O
But I don't quite agree.
How about you? :') -

our teacher gave us this sheet with basically every question they could ask us. after all - there is a limited amount they can ask.
I've been planning four points for each part C... and learning my key words. I find B's and D's ok tbh
community cohesion is the annoying topic..

Re: Current Year 11 Thread Mark IIFor GCSE, examiners will not expect a perfect response. It is generally better to be writing than hesitating too much about what to write (maybe give it a little thought, like a rough overview beforehand). That is especially true in English Language, which most people do well to finish.(Original post by Paparazzo)
OK thanks.
The thing I'm unsure about in particular is the actual structure of my answers. I'm not sure how I do that.
My best advise in terms of structure is make sure of the following:
- Your response makes sense in a very basic way.
- Each point follows on from the last, or each successive point is in a logical order (e.g. write about love in chapter 1 to 5, then love in chapter 6 to 10)
- Your response is easy to follow and read.
Some people naturally have good structure, you should talk to your English teacher to see whether or not they think it is something you need to work on. -
Re: Current Year 11 Thread Mark IIIs there something in specific you want help with? The physics help forums are often very good, and I could probably weigh in on a few problems.(Original post by justanotherindigo)
I urgently need help!
For those who are doing OCR 21st century science (add. science), could you by any chance help mw out with P5 and P6!
I have the most useless Physics teacher, so any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks
If it's more general, have you looked into any textbooks or revision guides that OCR endorse for GCSE? I would highly recommend getting them and using them as a main core from which to revise. -
Re: Current Year 11 Thread Mark IIYeh sadly I could find no way for tsr to accomodate such punctation...(Original post by GreenLantern1)
Shame. Btw it is *Viel Glueck (ue is u with a umlaut)
and it looks like its good revision for you - i will continue to make mistakes and you can correct them lol
I haven't done German since year 9 -
