I am at McDonalds now. So I know this is bad for me but I don't think it will stop the cravings all together (first time eaten this week compared to every day) I think I can stick to once a week, then increase the time to 2 weeks and etc.
I think that's the best way to do it. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with eating McDonalds every other week or so as long as you view it as a treat! I found it really hard cutting out everything junky all at once so I just have them as treat foods if they fit into my cals and I make sure I don't do it too much :P

Sausage bolognese (but with carrot/shallots instead of mushroom/fennel, and chopped toms rather than a jar of sauce), with a big mixed leaf and red onion salad

Planning on making this tomorrow, sounds really tasty.

Definitely one of the best habits I've picked up from my mum - she makes dinner from scratch pretty much every night, so I'm used to always having home cooked food.
I can't even begin to describe how much I love the sound of that sausage bolognese. :eating:

Was really hoping for a 2lb week this week, and according to the scales this morning I have 8 more ounces to lose to be able to do that. So I'm going to try and do a lot of exercise today- and if the scales don't go my way in the morning I'll just leave it until Monday . So losing 4oz per day.. that's perfectly doable . Awesome.

Haha this happens to me ALL the time! When my jeans fit nicely I always decide it's just because I haven't washed them in a while.. even though I wash them every week so I'd never be able to wear them enough to stretch them that much!

I have a pair of size 12 jeans from New Look that have been tight since I got them. All my other clothes have got baggier except these ONE pair. I swear they're magic devil jeans.

I made 2 massive orders from Topshop to take advantage of the 20% off. Both over £75 to take advantage of free shipping but I'm intending to return a lot of it.

One package came today, ordered a mix of size 8, 10 and 12s (playsuit and t shirt in an 8, jeans in a 10, shorts and skirt in a 12) but both 12s sit funny - the skirt is clearly too big and the shorts are too short lol. But it feels good to be returning size 12s

Girlies (and the odd guy) i need your help - brain meltdown.

I weighed myself, its 1 day early but its difficult to get into where they are first thing, it gave me one reading tens of times in v.light pjs then I get changed (light joggers, light 3/4 top and socks if they count lol) and it gives the same reading several times THEN I put on my heavy cardie (thick wool, long sleeves, long line and big hood with faux fur lining) and it gives +2 on the reading THEN when I take it off in the same place and moved to like 3 different spots near the door it gives -1, 0 and +1 on the original reading several times! Now at one point there was a small creak near the door but I think its all level though it did change a reading depending on how I was standing on the scales.

I went downstairs, did a couple of things but was so annoyed went back up lol.

Without cardie it was the original reading in the original spot then moved into the room this time it was the same no matter how I stood and +2 with the cardie.

SO should I take the original reading, a day early and is there any need to buy new scales or was it just me?

You should take ONE reading first thing with no clothes on (unless you weigh yourself in Boots or something, then probably not recommended.. if this is the case just wear the same clothes every time you get weighed) and keep that reading. Then don't touch the scales again until next weigh in.

I'm a complete hypocrite for saying that because I weigh myself every day, but I know just how much weight can change during the course of an average day, so take one reading at the same time before food no clothes.. and that should be fine.

EDIT: Just seen your other post, I use Salter scales bought from Argos, they're fab and quite cheap as well. £15 I think!

Lol would you believe there are 5 Salter scales on Argos around £15 atm.

The scales are through my parents room and in their bathroom, my dad basically lives in that room and he is v.judgemental about my eating habits etc. so I dont want him anywhere near knowing what/when Im doing the weighing as I dont need that. Oh and also with timing etc. its hard to strip down and do it all but the pjs are v.light and Im wearing them every time I weigh - I just thought Id check cos like a year and a half ago when we were weighin luggage for the airplane we had a little problem with the scales and there was talk for a while of getting new ones just not recently.

Do you think I should take the original reading? buy new scales?

I have Salter scales too (only about a year old) and mine sometimes do what yours do. They are electronic and occasionally I put them on the floor and they start weighing nothing and get a reading of 1.6lb  and then say error. Sometimes they add on or take off that 1.6lb to my weight which is confusing lol. I usually weigh myself with light PJs on too..

Try stepping on your scales now, then do it again a couple of times right after. If they say the same all of those times then I'd say keep them and stick to weighing yourself at the same time of say wearing the same thing (but preferably nothing). If they give variable results when you weigh yourself several times in succession then I'd say get new ones.

My old ones (batteries were going) would flick between weights that were literally a stone or more apart.. I was thinking yeah I know I had a nice dinner, but not THAT nice!!

I've just called a charity to ask if I could run for them in next year's marathon. I think that could be a final goal. But for now, getting ready to train for a 5K run in early July :yep:

Finished week 1 of the coach to 5K. Actually feel really good
