Today has been much better than yesterday. But that doesn't take much! I haven't done any exercise though

Breakfast - none, cup of tea
Lunch - 2 58cal brown bread slices with half a can of tuna, tea
    Snack - apple, tea
Dinner- boiled egg with 1 95cal slice of bread, cup of tea
    Snack - apple and banana
 how do you manage on so little, that cant be more than 1000 cals, if it reaches 1000 at all!

It's not much - but I did eat 3000+ cals yesterday in total junk and haven't been that hungry today, I feel guilty for yesterday. Normal service shall be resumed tomorrow; I generally eat 1200cals a day

Over-thinking time. Is walking 2 miles in round half an hour getting slightly heavier breathing and a bit hot but not sweaty or anything carrying several bags in several layers reasonable fitness? What kinda benchmark am I aiming at? I'm definitely getting fitter at the moment as anxiety eases but just wanna compare with others (not in a competitive way )
I read recently (although I have no idea how reliable the source was!) that an average fitness walking speed is about a 15 minute mile. So as you did 2 miles in around 30 minutes, yes, it is reasonable fitness - especially if you were carrying several bags and wearing several layers, which will make you hotter anyway. So it sounds like you're doing absolutely fine.

    ---

I had a good session at kickboxing tonight! First time in a few weeks, I've had a few down weeks and been bad with anxiety recently.

But there were 3 new people at training tonight and our coach partnered me up with one of those to teach him the basic punches and combinations. So I did a lot of talking in tonight's session. (I know it doesn't sound like much, but I have extreme social anxiety so I'm so quiet in social situations, and silent with anyone new!).

Grading on Saturday, so very nervous! I can do the stuff, but doing it in front of anyone else is a different story! But our coach said to think of it as my next challenge, so positive mental attitude!

And now I'm about to have some warm milk with heart-shaped marshmallows before bed! It's technically Valentine's Day, I have to...right?!

Our bodies are clever little things! When food is scarce, we use up our fat stores for energy. Hence why it's so easy to gain fat (to prepare us for times of 'famine' - which, from an evolutionary standpoint, our bodies actually expect). I've been doing some research these past few days into intermittent fasting and the health benefits of it etc. Basically, one day of eating very low calories, or even eating nothing at all, can actually have health benefits and lead to more efficient fat loss! It's really interesting stuff.

    I need more protein.

Breakfast: peanut butter smoothie (w/ bananas + strawberries)
Lunch: bowl of brown rice, salad and tomatoes.
    Dinner: vegetable stirfry
    Snacks: apple, almonds.

Didn't go gym today because I have an absolutely horrendous headache that I can't shake off. Really annoying but there's nothing I can do about it. On the plus side, I did buy a new Nike sports bra though. It's bloody amazing! :coma:

Started level 3 of 30DS today and did the first 3 circuits of Banish Fat Boost Metabolism. Exhausted! Having a mini tub of Ben & Jerry's later, and still got 400-500 calories left to play with for my tea Think I'll do a stir fry.

    Feeling so much better!

    Breakfast: cocoa pops and tea
Lunch: carrots, spinach, 4 chicken dippers, spinach and ricotta tortellini
Dinner: carrots, spinach, breaded haddock fillet, mashed potato

And a cheeky bottle of pear cider because I wanted to treat myself

I'm starting to accept that if I want to lose weight I won't be able to do it quickly and maintain my health (especially with my diabetes) at the same time. Going to try and lose it gradually, maybe by 1lb a week. If I sustain it and I'm happy with my diet it'll be better in the longterm.

Also I quite like spinach, but it makes my teeth feel really wierd T.T

Has anyone seen What Size Am I? Quite interesting - shows how dramatically sizes vary from shop to shop! And weirdly, when I put my measurements in it says that a size 10 in Dorothy Perkins and New Look should fit me best, but in both of those shops I'm easily in a size 8, so it doesn't look like some of the clothes are even made to the measurements they say they are.

(this doesn't completely fit here I guess but I thought some of you might find it interesting, it's probably been posted already elsewhere so cba to make a new thread)

After two days of not caring, I'm getting back on the wagon tomorrow

Unfortunately, my parents have left me with loads of chocolate/cake/sweets/etc Going to ration/share it - I'm going to the library tomorrow, and my friend has said she'll be there working on her dissertation, so I'm going to forcefeed her cakes

Slightly annoyed as I gave in to temptation and ate a chocolate bar today. HOWEVER also a little bit proud because it didn't lead to a massive binge for once- think I am finally resetting some of my terrible food-related habits!!

I should set my alarm 30 minutes earlier so I can work out before going to the library, shouldn't I?
(I need someone to tell me to do it )

I always find that I get more exercise done if I get up earlier and do it in the morning If it's left to the evening then I end up too tired, or something else. Set your alarm earlier and work out you will feel good.

I'm the opposite. I find that if I work out in the morning, I'm tired, grumpy and starving all day!! Whereas in the evening I can get straight into bed...after a shower of course It is a good feeling when you know it's over and done with though...
