Forcing myself to be brave and venture out wearing shorts.
Can't remember the last time I wore shorts (apart from knee length ones) in public...Nice! - Id be in love with myself if I had your figure and clothes, ah the last time I wore that style was like 4-5 years ago when I could without looking like a fat try hard.(Original post by Flo[ProActiv])
I finally managed to invert at pole
I've been trying since December, so this is a massive achievement!

Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For Life #2
MFP tells me that if I do the same today as every day I would be 151lbs in 5 weeks, which is only a pound away from my goal so that would be awesome if it were true!
So I am hoping that the counter is accurate, and that I have the motivation to carry on right until the end! -

Eugh, everthing aches this morning. If it's not a muscular ache, then it's bruising.
Still forcing myself to run though. I just fear that if I don't, it'll be a slipperly slope downhill leading to me not exercising at all when it's vaguely warm.
I've decided to crack out the running shorts for the first time. Feeling slightly slef conscoius, cause they're on the tight side, but I'm sure once I'm out there I'll forget about it/won't have the energy to care

Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For Life #2
Weather is rubbish here this morning! But then again it was yesterday morning as well, and then it ended up being the most wonderful afternoon, so I guess I shouldn't worry.
I have lots of shopping to do today, and then some work to do, so hopefully I should be able to do some exercise this evening or later this afternoon if I finish on time.
Annoyed that TOTM seems to be putting 3/4lbs of water weight on me every month now, as opposed to the months when I was bigger when it wouldn't make a difference at all. Could do with it going away before Sunday then I can have a proper weigh in for the first time in 2 weeks!
Also, the fact that MFP is down makes me nervous. :P.Last edited by xoxAngel_Kxox; 24-05-2012 at 09:20. -
Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For Life #2
Wish I could do as well as all of you managing stress-eating...been so silly of late. Now I'm no longer bradycardic, gone back to average Joe/kinda unfit : /
Ah well. It's an anxiety thing more than actual unhealthy habits, I suppose. Getting some help over summer and if the weather stays like this I'll be pretty chilled out anyway

The MFP app is still working though. -
Re: Healthy New You: Your Change For Life #2I think what you need to remember is that a lot people are ********s. People will judge you if you're fat, thin, have long hair, have short hair, are pale, are dark, have ginger hair, have piercings/tattoos...people like different things, but some people are determined to make everyone like the same thing as them. And they're sad people that you shouldn't bother thinking about.(Original post by Flo[ProActiv])
Thanks
I've decided this is going to be the summer where I stop giving a crap about what other people think, and embrace my body. If people want to look at me and think I'm too fat for shorts, that's their problem, not mine.
Also, yeah, my appetite drops when it's hot, so it's not been great the last few weeks. We also have a very small kitchen here, so as well as it already being hot, it gets unbearable when you're trying to cook so there's been a lot of pre-cooked meat-salad things, or anything I can microwave. When I move to Manchester (1 week from now! Year abroad has just rushed me by) it should be a lot better.
Had a nice breakfast this morning, apricot, cherries (bought a giant tub, so letting my flatmate eat them too because god knows I won't eat them all) and yoghurt. All nice and cool.
Edit: Huh, didn't know they'd censor that. -
