for the past 2 days I think I've been eating about 250 cals over my goal and with the bank holidays and exams i'm gonna miss workouts in the coming weeks so I think i'm gonna give the scales a break for three weeks till exams are done with and still continue on with eating healthy and exercise.

I doubt I'll go that long without weighing myself though because I'm too scared I'll hit a plateau.
like today for example my sister is making doughnuts and I already planned on having one as I don't restrict myself too much I just factor in treats into my daily intake every couple of weeks (nothing ever too calorific) but yesterday I don't know what came over me straight after dinner I had some sort of binge spree (3 raisin snack pack and a 30g coco pops cereal pack) it brought my calories to nearly 2000 which i know is the recommended daily intake but it wasn't the calories that bothered me it's the binging

so I'll probably end up having a doughnut anyways even though today is my rest day and I've done no exercise. also I sneakily had a mini sausage roll earlier.. ......

sorry for the mini rant but I've just had a terrible weekend food wise
:hugs: Try and not worry too much, almost everyone has a binge once in a while. I know it's tough to try and motivate yourself after something like that, but tomorrow's a new day then you can get back on schedule with eating and exercising

I totally understand this lately.. my brother has started baking, and takes personal offence if I won't have a slice of whatever he's cooked. But what I do is just take every day on its own. If I have a bad day, then once I've slept it's all done with, new day new start.

Hello all, just found this thread. I would like to try and lose some weight. I have a gym membership but find it hard to get time during exams right now. I have a longer summer and do any of you have advice on the best exercises to do (along with eating more healthily) that will aid this? (sorry if this isn't the kind of thing to post here!)

:five: ditto, I keep getting pop up ads showing clothes and I started seriously contemplating buying sale stuff for my hol in September but I snapped in my head thinking that I want to be a size smaller if not more in 3 months (seems ages thinking of it like that) and I know I can lose 2lbs or at least a lb a week so why would I basically rewrite my own future and actually have to lock into the size I am now for September so I fit in those clothes? Big Diamond Jubilee baking day today and though I didnt go over in my cals too much I still feel terrible about the weekend and given the slow in loss Im experiencing I just need to choose better and decision by decision I will lose a full stone (5lbs to go) and hopefully 20-30lbs (total) by September.

Week off work; Monday theatre trip and dinner out - I will either not have dessert or will only have a half and Im going to choose as healthy as poss for the main. Family having brunch tomorrow - fried protein with carbs - but Ive chose a tin of soup already so cutting crap by at least half!. Thursday trip to Harry Potter Studio Tour - will be eating there but will try my best with things. And well see with the rest.

    Hey again,

Just a quick question for those that are on the Paelo diet/low carb diets.. what on earth do you eat instead of carbs!?
I'm a Paleo dieter and my carbs come from vegetables and to a lesser extent fruit and nuts. I don't get hungry. Most of my meals are a combination of meat/fish, lots of lovely veg and some fat (nuts, olive/coconut oil, butter etc). Can also eat root veg too, so a nice spud is always good.

I lost 3.2lbs this week That's a total of 36.6 now! Slowly getting there. I'm doubley glad though because I told myself if I lost 2lbs this week I'd treat myself a bit today and not religiously count calories at my cousins Jubilee party! Fingers crossed the sun holds out.

I'm getting a bit bored of my meals recently. Can anyone recommend any good cookbooks or websites that have tasty recipes with calories counted? I'd love you forever!! I'll kick things off with a healthy desert website I found, only tried a couple of things but they tasted pretty good.

I like BBC Good Food - it has the nutrition for almost all the recipes (including calories) and has loads of recipes (it's got a 'healthy recipe hub' divided into different sections like soups, quick lunches, one pots, etc)

Eugh, too many crisps/general salty food yesterday, my mouth is so dry this morning.

I am starting to feel really demotivated, I've hardly seen a difference on the scales for well over a month now. I just feel horrible and like I'm not getting anywhere at the gym. I wanted to be 11st 12lbs at least by my holiday (July 20) but I am currently 12st 12lbs (and have been for two weeks...before that I was swaying between 12st 13lbs and 13st for ages). I just don't think it's going to happen and I don't think I'm really any happier with my body than I was in February.

At the moment about 45 per cent of me wants to give up, start eating rubbish all the time again and get so ridiculously fat.

Am now a pound lighter than the weight that was on my ticker last night! So that's another pound down. 94 gone, 11 to go.

Although really, it's about 6 pounds lost this week lol because I put a bit back on..

Can anyone help answer some of my questions please.

Have any of you got stretch marks and if you do what creams did you use to get rid of them and how long did it take for them to fade/disappear? Mine are still fairly new.

Also could you recommend a good pair of trainers at least under £40-£50.

Bio oil helped fade mine, it took around a week of applying twice a day but they did look noticeably better.

How long does almond milk/soy milk etc. usually last? I don't really care much for milk anyway (I only drink it with coffee because it's easier than making my parents buy separate) so I'm considering switching when I go to Uni. Also, how much does it tend to cost?
