It's pretty good! I think I could only do 2-3 kind-of pushups when I started but I improved quicker than I thought I would. I forgot about it a few weeks ago but I was up to 13 with good form (total of about 40 in the 5 sets with a minute or so break in between each set). Once my current shoulder injury has sorted itself out I'll see what I've gone back down to and make myself start it again!
Thank you! This is brilliant. Just did day 1

That looks really good, thanks, I will give it a go! xx

Thank you! I'll definitely take that as a compliment!

I just count calories using My Fitness Pal, it worked them out for me based on my weight, I'm down to 1200kcals a day now . I exercise 3 or 4 times a week, usually an exercise video, about an hour and burn between 400-600kcals. I started C25K too which I really enjoyed but now I'm back home I don't feel comfortable running outdoors. I do have the odd day where I don't count but I try to be reasonably sensible. For example last week I had a slice of cake at a Jubilee party and this weekend I'll be having a takeaway for a friends birthday.

Stats wise, I don't feel comfortable telling anyone my weight yet, maybe when I reach my goal weight, which is between 2 and 3 stone away! Those shorts are a size 18 and the top was a 16. I'm not sure what size I was before because I lived in Korea and didn't buy any new clothes for a year!!

Wow you look slimmer than your dress size! If you plan on still losing that much itll be a great photo spread.

I'm officially dieting NO MORE! .

I've made the decision to stop "dieting" to lose weight, and instead go to a healthy diet and exercise to try and gain some muscle! By that I mean my weights, planks, push ups, sit ups etc. So will still weigh myself as I assume I will lose a bit more weight while I lose fat but won't be going solely off the scales anymore.

18 months later and the dieting is done.

Great decision! I have lost over 12kg this way, whilst gaining a lot of strength and hopefully a fair bit of muscle in approx 18 months total. The only time I really watched my diet was for the transformation contest and I was doing it for a weightlifting comp anyway!

Also learned lots of new skills and to look at my body completely differently. I have so much more respect for it now it can do all this cool stuff

Brilliant this is definitely the way I want to go. I look great in clothes now, but am definitely skinny fat underneath, so hopefully can sort out my bikini body this way! I want to improve my fitness and try C25K again (and not give up this time) so I'm looking forward to working on that instead of obsessing over weight alone!

I am also planning to buy my first ever bikini this summer

Get training then, I am already a day ahead of you :p: I need to get good at pressups, my upper body strength is embarrassing!! Then I will mistress the pullup

Definitely it's all about the lifestyle and having fitness and strength goals rather than weight ones. If I didn't participate in a sport with weight classes I wouldn't bother weighing myself. I reckon you'll nail the C25K this time! Now you can inspire people in a different way! Awesome.

    Bonsoir!

Went on a long run this morning and have had a good appetite all day so it's been a good one:

Breakfast: peanut butter and banana on cinnamon and raisin wholemeal bagel, coffee

Snack (after run): chocolate milk smoothie, apple, walnuts

Snack: hummus with roasted kale chips

Lunch: mixed salad leaves with smoked mackerel, sundried tomatoes, olives, red onion, parmesan and pine nuts

Snack: mango and red grapes with 2 pieces dark chocolate

Snack: yogurt with honey and almonds

Tea: roasted red pepper stuffed with couscous, raisins, chilli, garlic, spinach and goat cheese. dessert: rest of avocado chocolate mousse from yesterday with chopped pecans

Snack: microwaved blueberries mixed with oats (tasted like blueberry crumble yummmmm!)

Will have the usual warm mug of milk soon

Omw I would LOVE to be able to do a pull up! Not sure where I can practice one though as I'm not joining a gym just for that :P.

I'm unsure of how much work I should be doing though. Like how many sit ups should be in one session, how many times I should do my plank etc. Totally new to strength work; only just getting used to cardio!

This is a really cool idea for a bodyweight workout: http://gubernatrix.co.uk/2009/07/tur...deck-of-cards/ You can swap the suggested exercises for other stuff too!

I guess if you want to do a pullup then a pullup bar might be a good idea? Or you need to find some door frame/beam that you can hang off without it hurting your hands.

Yay! Wish I could +rep you. This is a brilliant idea; there's no point in putting in so much effort losing all that weight only to be "skinny fat" as you say, so well done you and good luck on your journey!
Also I would say be prepared to stay the same weight or even gain a little as you build muscle. I've been around 150 lbs since January despite losing inches and improving my body shape. It's not always about the scale

Ran a 1kcal deficit yesterday and I'm still at 196lbs... gonna chalk it up to the fact it's Shark Week and keep trying.

That looks really cool I so want to try it! I'm looking forward to concentrating on the exercise rather than the diet, just need to make sure I still stay vaguely healthy!!

Thank you! Yeah I want my body to be beach ready, and my tummy isn't anything I'd want to show at the minute! Although I am so so thankful that I don't have excess skin, because at least I can tone the wobble I have left without surgery!
I will have to get used to the fact that I might gain, although I would still like to get a tiny bit lower.. I still have so much fat that tbh I think I will lose a bit more, particularly when I first start, I would love to get down to my GW of 150!

Elbow is hurting so could only do less then 10 sit ups before stopping. For safety reasons, going to start at the lowest level :awesome:

So after 4 days at my boyfriend's, followed by 5 days living in a field and eating van food at a festival...I weigh the same as when I left

The last two years I've always put on a couble of lbs while at Download, so I'm quite pleased.

Just been for a run. Outside ;-). So unfit still. Been home 10 minutes and still wheezy and out of breath. But to be fair I do have a lung condition which means they don't work as effectively as they should, although they have improved since I lost weight so maybe I'll be good soon!

May I recommend this to ease back into outdoor running. I personally would recommend it :yep:

I did that a couple of months ago and got up to week 3 before getting bored! I will do it again though, but when the urge hits me to go for a run in a morning I can't ignore it, as it only tends to happen once every blue moon :P.

Just done a life expectancy calculator (don't know how accurate) and apparently mine is now 94 years! Did it a few years back and it was 56, that was depressing. But then again my entire lifestyle has changed now.

I'm so upset, seems like my gain wasn't TOTM. Don't understand this, I went to the gym for 45 mins or an hour on friday and saturday night, plus 14 hours of work, and all I ate all day was salad...my eating was so good all weekend and I've put on a pound
