Aaaaahh oh no! Terrible timings. Suggestion for the same situation next time - put music on and dance around in your room or do an online workout like http://www.iwantsixpackabs.com/workout/week1.html ?
I'm gonna try some of this, thanks! I've been so pissed off today because everything I've attempted to do has ****ed up and I think this might help me cure some frustration

 good idea, it looks good - just sub the chin lifts for something else you can do without equipment

I've eaten quite terribly in the last 24 hours as it was my summer ball so we all got pizza however I think I probably burnt most of it off dancing as I was out from 10 til 6am :^_^: but I had fun and wore a pretty dress

Does anyone know any good arm excises? In my photos from last night/ this morning I was a bit unhappy with my arms and would like to tone them up

I remember you from the beach body thread . I think..
    Yes that was me!

So I've just weighed myself after a holiday, looks like i'm back up to 12st 5lbs which is what I was this time last year! Lowest I've been within this year is about 11st 7lbs. My overall aim is to be around the lower half of 10st.

I should really get back on Weight Watchers as I lost around 3lbs a few months back by combining that with Slim Fast. Pretty addicted to Slim Fast shakes now, they're 230kcal (6 WW points) and they fill me up really well, and are quick. Great for breakfast even if you're not doing the whole plan as they're low in cals and easy for those of us who don't usually have time for brekkie. The vanilla ones are SO TASTY!

I start a new job tomorrow and am hoping to get back into a routine of dieting and running. Sticking to WW and running 5k 3x a week should hopefully work, my main aim is 10% loss which is about 11st 1.5lbs. If I can lose 2lbs a week on WW then that should be achievable in about 10 weeks with a bit of room for error!

Also just signed up to a pole dancing course which runs for 8 weeks from the 4th July... hopefully that extra exercise will help!

Are you unhappy because they're flabby, or because they lack definition, or both?

Flabbiness = overall weightloss. There is no way to spot reduce.
Definition = weight lifting. Try a Body Pump class at your gym if you can to get the idea of what you're supposed to be doing, or pole dancing. I did a bit of pole last year and it completely works your upper body!
Both = both of the above!

Tea or coffee is a great idea (obviously not if you want to go to sleep though). I personally like fruity teas and things because they stop me from snacking, are low calorie, and also caffeine free

    (Original post by sauce)
water/low calorie squash, cup of tea/coffee with sweetener, go to sleep(lol)
thanks guys I guess I didn't realise how bored I would be now that exams are over and I have a lot of time free. hopefully I'll find a summer job very soon to keep me busy

Wow that's amazing! I think you've hit what my mum calls 'the switch' when everything just falls into place and dieting just clicks and works. It's a willpower thing. I have had it before but then it slowly goes away and hasn't returned yet!

I'm rather nervous about the pole dancing, especially being a larger lady when I expect everyone else to be rather skinny! Still the heavier I am the more benefit I should get from clinging onto that pole!

I would really like to try pole, but I don't think I have the confidence to go to a class.

Just watching Rihanna at Hackney weekend on BBC3 and I would kill for her body!!

On another note, weigh day tomorrow and i'm a bit scared, got through a packet of smoked turkey bacon over the last few days so obviously had quite a bit of salt. Furiously drinking buckets of water now in attempt to flush it out but there's only so much damage control you can do at 10pm without risking waking up and pittling yourself in the middle of the night!

Just thought I'd share a bit of healthy food porn with you all!! Stuffed courgette, Philadelphia filled chicken wrapped in turkey bacon, purple sprouting brocolli and carrots. So incredibly tasty and under 450kcals!!

I didn't have confidence for ages but luckily a friend of mine who I met through our belly dancing classes was on the committee and encouraged me to go. I was awful but improved the following week, but couldn't commit to the classes. I guess it made me feel a lot better that she was also quite large yet amazing at pole. I'm now going to a different independent class that she recommended. I'm nervous about being awful and being the largest there but oh well... I want to do it so I bloody well will!

From experience, you get a whole host of shapes and sizes doing pole - one of the most advanced people where I go is 50+ and is definitely on the larger side, but can do all these amazing spins/tricks.

I've absultely loved it  Just prepare for bruises

Brother comes home from his DofE Silver Expedition this evening, and has requested that I make him a curry. Well, requested that he HAS a curry, and as both parents are working late, it would look as though this falls to me. I don't mind cooking for him, don't get me wrong, I get that he's been away all weekend and will be tired, but why I have to cook food that I really don't want to eat is beyond me. I'm making it from scratch so there's no way I'm cooking two separate meals, so I'll have to have that. Will have a small portion and give him the majority of it.. also I have to do some kind of exercise today. I remember back when I first started losing weight, and I was well up for it, I'd do exercise literally EVER day. How times change..

In other news, it's 23 hours until I get my degree results. I am bricking it. The desire to eat everything in sight is immense, but I need to stop using food as a coping mechanism!
