hi guys

i was wondering how much harder is C4 than C3, as my teacher says c4 is like 5 times harder than c3. also i heard the grade boudaries are really high? is all of this true.

Very subjective question. The answer I get differs. Compared to C3 there are less chapters and no trig I think your teacher is over exagerating. The hardest chapter is vectors prob imo.

ok i dont mind if i get many different answers i like trigonometry. my teacher said the hardest chapter is intergration and then vectors. do you know anything about the grade boundaries?

The grade boundaries are the same I think (the only one that might differ is the A* but I'm not sure). As for how hard it is, I massively prefer C4 to C3 so far - I think it depends on what you're good at. I'm crap at vectors but pretty decent at anything with algebra (including integration) so I quite like the course. Just practice and you'll do fine!

Grade boundaries are pretty much similiar, usually depends on difficulty of exam paper.

There may not be a whole chapter dedicated to trig, but you'll definitely be using it, like in coordinate geometry (where you may have to find the cartesian equation given a set of parametric equations) and integration.

well c4 atm seems easy just finished chapter 3 binomial expansion so i will see how it is in a couple of weeks time.

I took my C4 exam the same time as C3 because I take Further Maths and I found that C4 was terrible apparently it was quite a hard paper, the integration and vectors are my only problem and the integration questions were pretty damn hard on the paper :/ I will be resitting (edexcel)

I will probably finish integration by Saturday and then its all past papers.

I am aiming for 75 ums in C4 probably dont even need that since S1 seemingly went REALLY well.

I only want a B in maths since silly mistakes cost me A LOT.

I worked so hard for C3 should have gotten 90 ums and could have but lost 20 ums due to silly errors

I will use the time to try and get A's in Chem and Bio which seems more likely as silly mistakes are less of a problem.
