Re: Giff Gaff - TRULY unlimited internet?
It used to be, but arguably isn't anymore. Some people were abusing the network by downloading multiple gigabytes+ everyday, and they're clamping down on these. (They give examples of people who regularly download files far greater than the capacity of their phone, or are streaming HD TV for 8 hours every day for a month.
There's a blog post asking the community what solution they'd prefer here: http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Wel...k/td-p/2972075 -
Re: Giff Gaff - TRULY unlimited internet?Yes it is unlimited. As estel brings up they are clamping down on people who are downloading excessively (actually downloading for their laptops, or tethering). As long as you're a regular user - it's unlimited. The people who are being kicked off the service are those who are downloading multiple GB every day (basically using it as their main PC internet usage rather than to download stuff for their phones).(Original post by SoulfulBoy)
Someone answer the above question. I hate my current operator (they do not even let me top up online and their customer service is ****) and I plan to change. -
Re: Giff Gaff - TRULY unlimited internet?
As a reference, I am constantly online, youtube, browsing, videos, facebook, download some music etc. (I even use my mobile net on my laptop occassionally (i know it's kinda illegal
)). Still, I would be able to use about thirthy times more giffgaff mobile internet without consequences.

Re: Giff Gaff - TRULY unlimited internet? Is that 1GB/day or /month you're talking about?(Original post by hypercaine.)
Networks seem to be saying that unlimited = 1GB, is this the case with GiffGaff?
Im perfectly happy with my network but was just wondering whether it is 'unlimited' as in unlimited or 'unlimited' as in 1GB (for from unlimited) -
Re: Giff Gaff - TRULY unlimited internet?A month, with pretty much all networks I looked at when getting my phone. They all say unlimited and then in the small print it says that unlimited is actually 1GB.(Original post by erklam)

Re: Giff Gaff - TRULY unlimited internet?Three beat GifGaff on this. Totally and utterly unlimited, do not get annoyed at anyone for using data etc, and allow tethering.(Original post by Wookie42)
Not true unlimited, but as close to unlimited you'll get in the mobile data world
They are more expensive though, and signal will depend on where you live. -
Re: Giff Gaff - TRULY unlimited internet? With Giffgaff, you could have 1GB a DAY and be fine!(Original post by hypercaine.)
