Is Giff Gaff reliable?
I read there was an outage a couple of months ago which was bad.

that was my first month....
imagine my suprise when i was cut off from a TRULY UNLIMITED amount of internet for using too much.
i am not having a go at you scott but i seen earlier you said (Theoretically though you can use as much as you want) i think most people like myself would be looking for actual information and i feel the blurring of what is reality doesnt help, ambiguous talk should be left to the politicians...I DID NOT SELL THEM WMDs = I SOLD THEM 1 WMD...... I DID NOT HAVE SEX WITH THAT WOMAN= SHE BLEW ME IN THE OVAL OFFICE.......theoretically I can fly but no matter how much red bull i drink i will not fly.

Message an agent if you haven't already. They should be able to restore your internet if you tell them that you weren't tethering as I think preventing tethering is the main reason they do this.

i was given that option when they cut me, but **** it i have moved on, didnt like the idea of giving custom to ****ers who duped me, ....might go back if they offer TRULY TRULY CROSS THEIR HEARTS N HOPE TO DIE UNLIMITED DATA........some hope...

some others on this site are defending giff gaff quite strongly even to the point of redefining the english language so to use one of their phrases, take their info WITH A PINCH OF SALT.
i used 5gb on a goodybag in a little over 3 weeks and they cut me off.

I provided my opinion as a roaming traveller into the uk and can therefore relate to Alaskas comment as she is from outside the uk like me.

whilst I may be an affiliate my opinions and views are listed, if you have has an issue with giffgaff I would take it up with them. Don't insult other people who are giving their view.

ANSWER---JVICTOR - Yes it is truly unlimited.

ok i have been given a warning by the admin for being offensive so i will be careful with what i say.
1st off a sincere apology to the admin for calling jvictor a ****ing idiot. i will stick to the facts and state that jvictor is a liar as is clearly demonstrated by the first lines of ALASKA'S QUESTION and JVICTORS ANSWER. people come here for honest factual information and it is unfair that they are being wrongfooted by someone lying to them.( yes it is truly unlimited ) sounds to me like you are stating fact and not just opinion.

I'd haver thought it operated along the lines of phone companies unlimited text policies in that theres a fair usage policy attached to stop people abusing it but i might be mistaken

To be completely honest in my usage I have never been cut, however based in other opinions I have heard that they have been cut off for using too much, I suppose in light of modern technology this is just what happens in the US this happens as well, and if your in the top 5 of users who use so much data then ur speed gets slowed down.

However based in your comment of 5 GB that is a lot of browsing and downloading for 1 month, so I could state that in fact ur browsing may not be unlimited as you may like to use data intensive sites or applications, however for other people it may be unlimited as they may not need to much data.

I suppose the term unlimited is not al unlimited, but in my browsing experience with giff gaff I have found it more than enough.

But hey compared to all the other phone networks you get to download wayyyyy more data for £10 compared to other net work operators who only give you 100mb oR 500mb. So giff gaff is more cost effective.

giff gaff are not giving truly unlimited data as advertised.



and telling people they do is just perpetuating the lie.
