Save the whales

Whales are an integral part of the oceanic ecosystem. The ocean isn't just a big blue thing to be crossed by plane or ship, but an important part of the global ecosystem. Being a scuba diver I'd very much like to save the whales, the sharks, bluefin tuna, the Great Barrier Reef and pretty much everything else that's aquatic and endangered. I found this petition on the Cousteau.org website:

No offence, but who's going to read this petition, let alone enforce it? The world police? That people hate whaling isn't exactly news to those who do it.
