How much free printing credit can I claim?
My uni gives me £21 worth of free printer credits a semester which I use up extremely quickly (first two/three weeks!). I've been told I can ask for more (and I think DSA gives extra too??) but I'm not sure what is an acceptable amount to claim because "normal" students have to pay for their own printer credits right??

I know £21 wouldn't last long in the library at my uni. Surely they should just give you unlimited credits, within a fair usage policy so you can't abuse the system and print stuff out for all your friends too.

I have £200 for printer ink, paper and resources like that. Not sure if it's the norm, would probably depend on your disability.

You can buy more printer credit and get refunded the cost up to the value stated in your general allowance, typically around £150 per academic year.

However much they let you claim, at Uni, if you can get it done for free, then do it for free. You'll be spending enough on everything else.

    This.

The printing system depends on your uni- for example, my uni and course everyone gets a tenner at the start of the year, which covers most peoples printing as it is not a printing heavy course. So it may be that other students also get x amount of free printing.

I'm not sure about other schools in my uni. I think maybe arts students don't get as much if any, which is a bit backwards, but perhaps they're relying on the fact that a lot of maths students won't use it so they won't actually miss out on their £10.

Same, they give us enough to print a few pages out before we get to grips with the top up system, then we have to pay ourselves.
