Re: Cardiff met / uwicHow'd you like the open day? Seemed like a quiet one compared to others. I guess the rugby kept people away(Original post by Danscch)
Hey MeganElizabeth94 and JSU.
I have received a conditional offer from Cardiff Met to study Business Management this year.
I'll also be attending the open day tomorrow (25th feb)

Re: Cardiff met / uwic
I thought the open day was really good. Never been Cardiff before and I really liked the look at the place!
The course sounds interesting and the tutor seems really nice. My offer is an unconditional so I've accepted and definitely going to be at UWIC doing Marketing Management next year!

Re: Cardiff met / uwic
I enjoyed the open day too. I went to the open day in October too, glad I decided to go again.. I only live down the road from Cardiff so it will be convenient for me too.
Definitely going to put it as my first choice and go there in September. Glad you all liked it too.
Although tbh I wasn't too keen on the accommodation (Plas Gywn). It's in a great location and looks very good from the outside, but I thought the rooms were on the small side compared to some others I've seen and although the kitchen was nice, there was no real 'living area'. Will have to think about that but overall enjoyed the day and will be happy to put it as my first choice.

Re: Cardiff met / uwic
I live about 20 miles away from Manchester so it's about a 4 hour drive to get to Cardiff but yeah, I'm really happy with it.
I liked the look of Plas Gwyn but just rang and you can't apply for accomodation until April. Hopefully though, because my offer is unconditional and I live far away that I'll be one of the first picks for Plas Gwyn, fingers crossed!
Is there like a Facebook page for UWIC '12, for people who have applied etc... I had a look but couldn't find anything. -
Re: Cardiff met / uwic
They were a bit on the small side for me I think. I wouldn't say they were generous sizes but you could live in them easily I suppose. The one they showed us felt slightly smaller than this one on their website http://www.uwic.ac.uk/virtualtours/a...%20Bedroom.mov
I'm also considering staying at liberty living. -
