Haha that's hilarious. There's no way in hell you can finish in time if you've been going that slowly. I would start teaching myself the course if I were you.
Yeah I have been doing. I'm a little ahead of the rest of the class (along with a couple of others who have realised how far behind we are), but not by far. Weird thing is no one seems to care. I don't mind putting the time in though so catching up shouldn't be a problem, I hope. Of course it won't help if I need to retake F214.

Oh did you take F214 in January? If so, you should easily be able teach yourself F215 in time

Yeah, just looked at the grade boundaries though and it seems I'll most likely have to resit it (no way I got 47 marks). Are you doing both in the summer then?

Yep, we're not allowed to do our unit 1 papers in January for some reason so I've got 7 exams in June

Didn't realise the grade boundaries were released! I resat physics in january and the boundaries are slightly higher :/

Oh wow they raised the F215 A grade boundary by 7 marks, that's pretty insane!

Damn, 7 exams. I thought my 4-5 was bad...
Yeah crazy high boundaries... how'd you do in Physics? Seems I managed to scrape a B in F214 (got 43 marks)... tempted to resit it, but to be honest I'm quite happy with the B considering I dropped about 9-10 marks on the bloody pea/respiration question alone. Since I only need a B in Bio (I'm a linguist) it's probably a better idea to focus on F215 and my languages.

Yeah I wouldn't resit it if I were you since you only need a B. It'd probably be a better idea to resit your AS modules if you didn't do great in those.

I did better than I thought in physics
    Paper 1 81/90 UMS
    paper 2 118/150 UMS

So I got an A overall

Just need to do the Practicals now...

Just received my bio 4 grade - 70/90
I honestly thought i did better, so i'm thinking of remarking.
As of now I need 99/150 in unit 5 which is a C to get an A overall in Biology. But I am also considering going for the A*
There's also a possibility that the remark may go down!

Just wanted to make sure that at the end, they take the best grade for each module?
Because i'm considering applying for the retake and if my mark goes up, then attending the retake without any revision, and if it goes down, perharps revising for it.

Is it possible to cancel a retake after you have paid for it?

Feedback would be incredibly helpful, thanks!

We've only done half of the first two modules...so much still to do and fit in practicals. I've already missed so many lessons because of issues and interviews...ahh this term isn't going too well for me. now I have to retake f214...got a C for that...but I'm getting my paper recalled because I can't believe I got a C :s

I was aiming for an A* but now I'd be happy to get an A!!!

    Revision tips anyone?

If you own the text book, go through it page by page, highlighting all the keypoints. After you've done that, go through the book again, page by page, but this time put a post-it note on the top right hand corner of each page and write down all the keynotes from each spread.

It's very time consuming, but it'll get you your A/A*

Has anyone got some good revision tips for this exam in June, as i did loads of revision for it from using the A2 OCR textbook, the A2 CGP Biology revision guide and booklets for all the modules for the exam in January and then came out with a U (37/150). I was just wondering what revision anyone else was doing for it.

Yeah defo...you have the Jan 12 that just past, jan/ jun 11, jan/jun 10 and possibly 2009 ones.

Also you can have a go at the legacy papers, but u'd have to go through the papers and pick the questions out for this unit.

    Hope that helps

Has any other colleges teached f215 in september for the january exam and then f214, rather than teaching f214 in september and then f215 now.

I have 3 lessons a week. 1 lesson is for F214 and 2 are for F215 and we've done that since late june last year.
