Re: OCR Biology F215 Control, Genomes and Environment Fri 15 June 2012yeah its 9: 3: 3: 1(Original post by Lomas)
Isnt the normal ratio for a dyhybrid cross 9

Re: OCR Biology F215 Control, Genomes and Environment Fri 15 June 2012For that question i got 6 : 6 : 4, my answer is the same as yours but double everything! haha.. have i dont it wrong? or have you been tought to cancel down or something? really strange!(Original post by plummango)
Whats the real answer?
I got 3
2 ... it has to be that since you are crossing heterozygous with bbEe (thats a weird combination)

Re: OCR Biology F215 Control, Genomes and Environment Fri 15 June 2012I'm on the same boat as you, this content is intense!!!(Original post by plummango)
anyone else no where near finished revising???
I havent even learn the complete content yet let alone the past papers!!!
tell me Im not alone -
Re: OCR Biology F215 Control, Genomes and Environment Fri 15 June 2012I am terrified, I've made the mistake of putting F215 revision to late on. considering I have an exam tomorrow I doubt I'll be able to properly revise before hand.(Original post by plummango)

I'm just hoping the fact I have perfected F214 will save me! Shame it's so small though! -
Re: OCR Biology F215 Control, Genomes and Environment Fri 15 June 2012A D will get me the B I need overall. I can't really get an A since I need 145/150 UMS minimum to get one overall which is impossible since I'm leaving revision till the day before the exam :l(Original post by plummango)
What does everyone need from this exam (to get into Uni, if you're going) ??! -
I need an A :/(Original post by plummango)

Re: OCR Biology F215 Control, Genomes and Environment Fri 15 June 2012Is that the same as homozygous?(Original post by Lalaa)
Define hemizygous -
Re: OCR Biology F215 Control, Genomes and Environment Fri 15 June 2012Homozygous is when both alleles are the same. For Example, if B codes for Brown eyes then BB, or bb will be classed as homozygous. Not sure wth hemizygous is so im just thinking you meant homozygous. Heterozygous is when the alleles are different. E.g Bb.(Original post by Lalaa)
Define hemizygous -
Hemizygous is only having one copy of an allele. So in humans makes are Hemizygous for sex linked genes found on the X chromosome as they only have 1 X(Original post by Lalaa)

Re: OCR Biology F215 Control, Genomes and Environment Fri 15 June 2012I think it is where only 1 allele is present, e.g X chromosome alleles in a male human.(Original post by ZRO)
