    CCEA Maths GCSE Tier
Hi, i am doing intermediate tier which is t3 and t5.

I have done T3 without revision and got 60% in my mock which is ok to be honest. I think after revision i should do a little better than that. In may/june i am doing t5. My teacher gave us the past papers the other day and i tried them and the questions where really easy. It was like convert 10 miles into kilometres you could do that in your head. I did 2 past papers in 30 minutes and your supposed to have 2 hours to do them. I got 100% in both of them. So i tried a t6 test there now to see what i would get and i got 60%! She seems to think that i can't do it. I think i'm too smart for that class. There are dumber people in the class above me doing t6. I think its unfair placing you on a tier just by one test like two years ago, i do statistics and my maths has went improved substantially. Do you think i should do t6? Isn't it like 60% for an A? And surely if i can do one higher tier test couldn't i do another?

Heres an example of the type of questions in t5

Write down the name of a real life object which is a cuboid?

Choose the unit most likely used to measure a room (basically giving you the answer)

I think my teachers really underestimate me and then are really shocked when i do good after revision.

Maybe go to someone higher up than your ordinary teacher, the head of maths or even the head teacher.
Do another couple of t6 papers, and then show them how well you've done.
Like when you draw a line of best fit, you need at least 3 points to prove it's not chance. The more papers you do, and do well in, the better chance you have of the teachers taking you seriously. Good luck!
