I never really looked in much detail

My friend's Dad who worked for McLaren for a few years then RBR got a Mercedes with McLaren (although they were McLaren Mercedes at that point) and I can't remember what he had with RBR but it was still a decent car. He wasn't a higher-up either, when the teams had to cut down to 450 staff he got made redundant.
There's no restriction on the number of staff that a team can have.

FOTA has never set a headcount, although there are certain restrictions which are applied depending on it. And of course not all the teams are even currently members of FOTA...

F1 is not about the salary all engineers will have a good salary but F1 is about those couple of milliseconds that all important goal and refining until you have it to a tee and get podium then you for refine some more ! If you are worrying about salary maybe F1 isn't the career for you maybe just an engineer is because as someone aspirin to work in F1 salary never crosses my mind I couldn't care less to be honest

I know someone who works in the F1 industry, and he earns around 60k per annum. It's a very tough industry to get into though, and there's a lot of pressure working there.

Most people prefer not to give their salary details to strangers over the internet...
The quote says your Bf works in marketing department. Does he have a marketing degree? How did he come across the job did it just fall into his lap? Id love to work in marketing or sponsership in f1. Regardless of salary

My boyfriend's a mechanical design engineer.

We do have a graduate program at LF1, but I don't think it's ever placed anyone outside of design/vehicle performance so far. Maybe still worth a go though?
