Whitney Houston claimed to be able to defy the laws of time-space in relation to the human condition, and consequently many people believed her. Whether she was serious or not is open to debate, but the cult founded around her claims is very real, and, I imagine now, very aggravated.

She was such a musical influence when I was younger. As I got older I didn't really listen to her songs as much and didn't really like her older stuff but still such a loss. I was reading about 2 hours ago that it was rumored she was to be a judge on X factor usa and now she's gone.

Honestly, I genuinely didn't know who she was and I've been born and brought up in the UK. That said, I had heard her name being mentioned in passing, probably quite a few times.


Still, it's shocking how many pop stars are dying nowadays. I hope it's not another death due to drugs.

I am aware of rumours about her involvement with certain "cults", but this has no bearing on anything. To believe without evidence that a conspiracy is present is quite silly. She was a drug addict. She died. End of story.
