Is the vehicle registration document actually THE logbook? My insurance want to see the vehicle registation within 45 days, is that the same thing as the logbook?

Why are "roundabouts" also caled "islands"?

Just different ways of saying the same thing depending on where you're from.

The DVLA call them form V5c.

Okay dude, thats brill
Really useful information. Thanks for the info, you made it easy to understand. You'll forget about paperwork when you try PDFfiller. 2014 MN DoR ST3 can be filled out in 5-10 mins here pdffiller.com
The term logbook is from 20-30 years ago.
The logbook was a brown cardboard thing that had all the owners names listed and you could =see back to the original owner.
When it all was computerised in the 80's the green sheet of paper came out, showing just the last and current owner

Then recently the V5c came out because a load of V5 blanks were stolen.

Your V5, vehicle registration document or logbook are all the same thing. Its the A4 piece of paper the DVLA send you out which is red on the front and contains some tear away pieces inside.
