Just say somthing along the lines of "Due to commitments for school/whatever else you do, i feel unable to continue work blah blah blah" That should do well enough.
My letter of resignation went something like this:

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to inform you that I am resigning my position at <insert company name here> in order to <insert excuse here>

I have enjoyed working for <insert company name here> and wish you all well for the future.

Yours sincerely

....

Seemed to do the trick, I got my P45 in the post a few weeks later.

I wouldnt even bother, what i'd do is look for another job then leave once you have it without giving them any warning... if its really that godforsaken.

Some people would like the chance of a reference and a wage to follow which can all be witheld upon special circumstances.

its against the law for them not to pay you for hours you've worked.
